Drew Barrymore finds life, love, and pregnancy difficult in director Penny Marshall's Riding in Cars With Boys. Featured in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, this transfer looks very nice with only a few visible signs of defects (including some edge enhancement and artifacting). Otherwise, this picture displays warm colors and dark black levels. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 in English and is appropriate for the film it supports. Since this is primarily a dialogue-driven comedy-drama, the directional effects are confined mainly to the front and center speakers with only a handful of effects leaking out of the rear channels. Also included on this disc are subtitles in English, Chinese, French, Korean, and Thai, as well as a Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack in French. Extra features consist of: a humorous commentary track by star Drew Barrymore (who is both bubbly and professional); an HBO making-of featurette that is only mildly interesting; four featurettes ("Drew's Trailer Tour," "Bev and Ray's House: Re-creating Reality," "The Cars," and "Beverly and Jason: Sons and Lovers") which add up to a grand total of around 13 minutes; a few theatrical trailers; and some cast and crew filmographies.
A film like this is refreshing and startling in the way it cuts loose from formula and shows us confused lives we recognize.

Wonderful performances by all the characters. This shows family dysfuntion in a true light. Loved Drew Barrymore, James Woods and Adam Garcia.
I loved the movie but couldn't they have had somebody other than Drew Barrymore as the star? I don't like her. Her son is so funny as a kid!
As a fan of most of Drew Barrymore's movies I truly enjoyed watching this. It provides an insight to what pregnant teenagers go through not to mention showing exactly why teenage pregnancy is bad both for mother, father, and child.
this was an okay but sweet and sad film. we have an early mom and how she wishes she could change some of the mistakes but can't and must accept it. cool that sara gilbert and brittany murhpy's in it, who was just funny as her best friend especially when they were teens. steve zahn was interesting and also funny. had no idea peter facinelli was in it and he was just cute. drew barrymore did a good job with her role. check this film once in a while.
i liked that dream song!
I thought this was a great movie. In my opinion Drew Barrymore gave her best performance to date. I thought it was very realistic and it touched my heart. It made me laugh and cry. I recommend for you to watch it if you want to see a feel good movie.

If anybody saw or paid close atention at the end where thre the dad and her were singign His eyes rolled upp into his head it was scarry. An e ways I liked it
This is certainly one of Drew Barrymore's best. But my first and foremost favorite movie of hers is the Wedding Singer. Riding in Cars, is a great story, that will keep you in stitches and in tears through out the movie!
I really enjoyed the movie that is why i am doing the book for a book report! BUt i cant find any info. on Donofrio but oh Well! But Drew did an awsome performence her son was adorable and its a film teenage girls can relate to even if they arent pregnant. The only thing is that they changed some things from the real book!
