Jason Katims created Roswell from the t'ween novel series, Roswell High. Although the ratings climbed higher reaching the end, the WB pulled the plug, cutting the 3rd season short. Competition from Survivor and other network rating magnets, this series was the "Titanic" of the weekly TV drama, having the 'best of everything' but having series of events against it, it never had a chance. Constantly moving the show and changing networks, it Roswell got robbed from greatness. Regardless of the ratings, the show is exquisite. Writing, directing, and above all, the acting, have all come into harmony in the final season. The series is appealing to middle age and seniors as well as the teen crowd. The Romeo and Juliet style love scenes of Max and Liz are captivating and heart felt. This is where the show rocks! The well built Jason Behr (Max Evens) and the beautiful Shiri Appleby (Liz Parker) has tremendous chemistry together. A true Romeo - Juliet style that Shakespeare would be proud of. The very first episode, it was immediate action. The very clever way the story line was actually built. The show breaks away from the present to go into the past for 5 or 10 seconds, for the viewers to comprehend why events are unfolding before them! For action thriving viewers, you never will loose interest. This DVD is not without humor at its best. However, if you are not current with the show, some of it will be totally missed. TV Series lasting for three seasons, the final one is usually the best. Roswell's third season never floundered. Worth every penny and will provide hours of viewing entertainment.

I'm not really into the whole sci-fi stuff, but this show was really amazing. You should really watch it.
