Saw IV

Just when audiences thought they'd heard the last of the demented killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), here comes Saw IV, continuing his trap-filled legacy -- this time, targeting the last remaining officer who has touched the case, SWAT Commander Rigg (Lyriq Bent). As FBI agents Strahm (Scott Patterson) and Perez (Athena Karkanis) begin to dig through the remains of Jigsaw's crime-scene hideout, a new puzzle presents itself, with Rigg as the pawn in another deadly game filled with moral quandaries and torture-filled traps. At stake is the life of his superior officer Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) as well as his friend and fellow cop Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg), whose abduction by a now-dead Jigsaw triggers an obsession in Rigg that will haunt him til the grisly end. Director Darren Lynn Bousman returns to the series after helming both Saw II and III, with a script penned by Feast writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.

Having seen the first three saw movies I was prepared for some gore but this was way too much. I felt sick the first five minutes and it took everything to keep watching. I would have turned it off but I had paid to see it already. If you have a weak stomach I suggest you choose a different movie as this will make you sick.

I will fully admit that I was excited to see this in theaters, although my mind was telling me that this storyline was probably going to be paper this at this point. Unfortunately I was right. It's not horrible, but very disappointing in comparison to prev attempts. I know that there was talks of doing five Saw movies total, but if they don't raise the bar from this I think we may see straight to DVD quality next time.

I didn't like this movie. I feel it's a pretty sub-par horror film. It's nothing too great. But I have to recomend the dvd for any X Japan fan just for the I.V. Music video.

okay, we're 2 minutes into the film and already Jigsaw has been surgically ripped open and guess what's inside his stomach? A tape. And how exactly did he manage to swallow that one? Keep watching. More people die in unrealistic ways, this time beyond unrealistic. In one scene, a woman and man are staked together with something like 15 poles. Yes, this film pulls you into a million different directions of what's next mayhem that all end with the surgeon finally playing the tape. And shocker, jigsaw's out to kill more people from beyond the grave. This film is beyond bad, it's just wrong. But thank the lord we'll get to see another b-rated blood and sawed out brains extension on this growingly annoying film genre. This halloween...

this movie was alright but still same old and nothing new especially the ending. when you keep going it kinda gets old but the saw movies were interesting enough. my fave of course will always be the first movie. the characters eric matthews and jigsaw are cool.

all of the contraptions in this saw were alot more interesting than the others, especially the one in the very beginning. The ending was very suprising to me, but that made it even more twisted.
