Overview

Scrubs - The Complete Third Season

Season three of Scrubs is distinguished by the spectacular fashion makeover undertaken by sexy Dr. Elliott Reid (Sarah Chalke), who, after concluding that she has had nothing but bad luck since signing on at Sacred Heart Hospital, figures she has nothing to lose by changing her appearance. Meanwhile, Dr. J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff) becomes envious of his roommate Turk's (Donald Faison) blossoming friendship with a new staffer who calls himself "The Todd" (Robert Maschio). J.D.'s chronic jealousy of his fellow physicians also figures into a story arc featuring Scott Foley as Elliott's old flame Sean Kelly (whom she dated briefly in season one). Also, the wedding of Turk and nurse Carla ( Judy Reyes) continues to be postponed, making it difficult for them to work together; bombastic Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) is willing to sell his soul to be residency director; J.D. begins a relationship with Danni (Tara Reid), the sister of his former amour (and Dr. Cox's former wife) Jordan Sullivan (Christa Miller); and Jordan's brother Ben Sullivan (Brendan Fraser), introduced the previous season, returns to the series -- just long enough to die. Season-three guest stars include Spin City veterans Michael J. Fox, Barry Bostwick, Brady Bunch alumnus Maureen McCormick, and Dayna Devon, co-host of the TV magazine show Extra, whose one-line bit was later expanded into a George Plimpton-like "special feature" on Devon's own series. Sadly, John Ritter passed away just before making his second appearance as J.D.'s father.

I love the show Scrubs- I watch re-runs regularly, and laugh every time. Now I own all of the seasons on DVD, and I can watch my favorite episodes whenever I feel like it. If you haven't seen Scrubs, it has a great lineup of characters, and the humor comes one joke after another. (It also doesn't hurt that Sarah Chalke is in this show!) I think everyone can find a favorite character in this series, and it has a lot of "re-play-ability."

Scrubs is a fantastic comedic experience. From the quirky day dreams, to the almost unbelievable medical jargon, the cast will carry you on an emotional roller coaster that visits hilarious, dramatic, and emotionally deep. Scrubs is capable of doing all of this while still keeping the air light enough to quickly induce a sense of euphoria like a quick hit of morphine. For fans of the series, it's a great continuation to an already warm and contagious family that gladly and easily welcomes newcomers into the fold.
