Chucky and Tiffany are back, and this time they've got an extra hand to help out with the murderous mayhem as offspring Glen lends a hand in skewering Hollywood -- quite literally -- in the latest installment of Don Mancini's Child's Play series. In addition to a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and a selection of either English (closed-captioned) or French Dolby Digital 5.1 audio as well as English DTS 5.1 audio with optional Spanish and French subtitles, this release also offers a variety of bonus materials for the rabid Chucky fan. Follow everyone's favorite psychotic doll in a "Family Hell-iday Slideshow" that must be seen to be believed, and once you've returned safely to the comfort of your couch, take a look behind the scenes at two decades of Chucky movies in the featurette "Conceiving the Seed of Chucky." Fans of sultry Seed of Chucky starlet Jennifer Tilly will no doubt enjoy the inclusion of her video diary as seen on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and in addition to a written diary, gorehounds can also access "Fuzion Up Close With the Seed of Chucky Stars," in which Chucky and Tiffany speak candidly about life as a Hollywood couple, and a feature commentary track with director Mancini and star Tilly.

Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide - Jeremy Wheeler
Picking up where Bride of Chucky left off comes Seed of Chucky, an uproarious comic take on the world of celebrity, transgendered confusion, and killer dolls struggling with moral family issues. In short, it's a movie of its time. With inspired nods to Ed Wood and family dramas such as Ordinary People, creator Don Mancini brings yet another new fresh take on the franchise that worked so well when he tackled romantic comedies in the previous film. With many very knowing jabs at Hollywood and the business, Seed does work the pop-culture angle for all it's worth (and then some), though, thankfully, it aligns itself more with the Wes Craven's New Nightmare category than the nonstop type of Shrek mockery. Jennifer Tilly and Redman have a great time poking fun at themselves and the industry, as does John Waters in a juicy sleaze column reporter role that will no doubt usher in some classic hoots and hollers from his fans. The core of the film lies in Chucky and Tiffany, whose technical and vocal performances are, bar none, the best this series has seen. Brad Dourif once again shines in the Chucky role, though newcomer Billy Boyd, as his hideous offspring, isn't too shabby himself (and just wait until you see what androgynous rock star the kid was based on!). Throughout the film, Mancini keeps the trashy laughs coming and the bloody deaths over-the-top, injecting his own stylish touch into a film that many thought would be lacking in his first time behind the camera. Seed of Chucky is wild, weird, and wacky -- three things that not too many fifth films in a horror series can proudly boast.

This movie is not great, but it didn't suck. It was, well um, original. It was funny but also disturbing. Only for people who can really take a joke. "like me"

This movie sucked so badly. I watched the entire movie and I was like this is so not a scary movie, and I am not going to recomendite to anyone at all because it sucks. So don't waste your time watching it because most of it is just bloody disgusting scenes and shows you gross actions. Look, if you really want to see a scary movie then i am telling you now to please not waste your time and money on this dumb movie. I am never going to watch it again, and I am warning everyone reading this message that you really don't wanna see this movie. Trust me, I know. And I made that mistake of even trying to watch it. So please don't make the same mistake that I made. Just don't watch it.

Being a fan of the first 3 Chucky movie, I decided I would give this movie a chance, even though Bride of Chucky was bad. This movie was very funny and sick! Full of unnecessary things when it comes down to it. I'll just stick with the first 3 Chucky movies to watch.

I really liked this movie, though I felt it could have been a lot better. I've come to accept that the Chucky movies are now completely fallen on the genre of dark-comedy. They are actuallly very good at it! I recommend this movie to those who are general slasher and/or Chucky fans. =)

I saw only the ending and it sucked! I'm even more afaried of how much worse the beginning will be! This movie was so not scary. Trust me. I saw it on the tv and it was so bad I can't describe it at all! Don't waste your presious time on this dumb movie.

The Seed of Chucky was my least favorite of the movie's and this should have been less funny and more scary.

This movie was really weird, sick, stupid, and It has to be the worst Chucky movie I've ever seen. It was a little funny at parts but it was mainly boring. It wasn't scary like the other Chucky movies were. I'm warning you to not rent or buy this movie. You'll be so bored that you'll turn off the movie. Consider yourself warned.
