Overview

Sesame Street: Kids' Favorite Songs, Vol. 2

Join Elmo and other Muppets as they lead kids through renditions of popular children's songs. The disc offers a standard full-frame transfer. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but parents will not be disappointed with this title that lives up to the quality many have come to expect from the Sesame Street label. Songs included in the show are "Mary Had a Little Lamb," "Rubber Duckie," "Itsy Bitsy Spider," and dozens of others.

This DVD along with Kids Favorite Songs 1 are my baby's favorites. He has been looking at them since he was two months old, and he never seems to get tired. He especially likes Vol. 2 where the kids all sing or tell about their favorite songs. I decided to show these DVDs to a friend's son also, and he's just as in love with them as mine is...my son is now 9 months, and his friend 4 months.

My 1 year old absolutely loves this video. It is a good mix of music, kids, singing & talking. Plus the songs they sing are ones I know from childhood so I can sing along & dance with her.

My children love this DVD. They love the story and all of the songs that accompany the story every minute or so. It is extremely engaging and fun yet educational for all ages. My 20 month old watches this show every day. My older boys, ages 5 & 7 still love to watch this show with the 20 month old. They truly love this movie. We misplaced our first one so we bought another one! That is how much they love this show. I cannot say enough about it. I think every child should own one! They also love "Kids Favorite Songs" as well. Way to go Sesame Street! I wish there were more movies like these two that provide learning/development of lessons/emotions/and so much more in such a fun way through music and song/play!

We watched Volume 1 so much, we bought this one. It's different, but our 2 year old enjoys it just as much. Kudos to SS for always using children of all backgrounds; black, white, handicapped, etc. The children help introduce the songs, and even sing along. They are great!

This is not as good as the first ''volume'' in this ''set'' (they really aren't connected in any way I can see, other than title). Perhaps older kids will be amused by the depictions of some of the songs, or have the patience to wait through the endless amounts of talk between songs. But our toddler was impatient and bored, and so were his parents. The OTHER video in this ''set'' is marginally better although it also has a lot of storyline, when I think the viewers would be happy with wall-to-wall songs. But this one, for younger viewers I just don't suggest bothering unless you really like the songs listed on the label -- and don't mind the fast forward button now and then.
