''Sid And Nancy'' is a terrific movie based on a true story about the disturbense of Sid Vicous who was the lead singer of the punk band legend ''The Sex Pistols''. Sid And Nancy is about a couple who are deaply obsessed with eachouther. Nancy, who if one of New York's biggest junkies was a heroine addict and got her lover Sid Vicious hooked on heroine too. They soon to find out that they are heuge heroine addicts, and absolutly love it. Sid and Nancy think that there life is a paradise until Sid goes on tour with his band The Sex Pistols and Nancy starts having sex with other men for heroine money because she ran out of it. Sid was crushed when he finds out that Nancy was a hooker behind his back and to the fact that Nancy just got AIDS. When it was thier alaversity Sid took Nancy to a very fancy hotel in Queens. The next morning, Nancy was found in the hotel room laying dead from being stabbed to death. One week later there was a trial tooken place in Los Angelas, Calofornia and Sid pleaded not guilty. 2 days later Sid had a Concert with The Sex Pistols well he was in Los Angelas. After his concert, he decided to take the biggest heroine shot of his life with his friends. 30 seconds later, Sid Vicious droped to the ground in front of his band, and died do to over dosing on the heroine. The Sex Pistols had to split up, and never see eachother again. This event is true and took place from 1972- 1979.

IT WAS GREAT. CLHLOE WEBB REALLY ACTED LIKE THE REAL NANCY, WITH THE WHINING, YELLING AND HITTING. GARY OLDMAN WAS THE BEST, HE DID SID PERFECTLY. THE ONLY THING ABOUT IT IS THEY MADE IT LOOK LIKE SID KILLED NANCY. BUT BESIDES THAT IT WAS VERY GOOD.

I thought that the movie portrayed the actual events as accurately as possible. I agree that the circumstances surrounding Nancy's death were sketchy. And being a Sid fanatic, my only complaint would be that the movie didn't quite show the obvious questions involving her death. It seemed like he killed her. In fact, the movie doesn't really show either her or him actually dying and in the end, they get in a cab together. I think that for people who aren't familiar with the story the ending could be awfully misleading. But in response to another review I read, there are several mistakes in the story there. True, on the Sex Pistols last tour, Nancy (along with all other females) were banned because Malcolm McLaren and the rest of the band thought she was a bad influence on Sid and his performance. But Nancy wasn't prostituting herself for heroin. It was the '70s and an era of drug usage. Sid and Nancy had all the hook-ups they needed. And Sid didn't take Nancy to the Chelsea Hotel to kill her. True, they found her in the bathroom of Room 100 after Sid called the front desk of the hotel and told them to call an ambulance, Nancy was dying. But after that, Sid was charged with second degree murder and went to New York's Riker's Island lockup. He made bail, thanks to his label Virgin Records. He was sent back once he got into a fight at a disco with Todd Smith. He was released again on February 1st, 1979. He partied that night and overdosed on heroin early the next morning. His mother found him dead while he lay in bed with his new companion Michelle Robinson. He didn't overdose in front of the rest of the Sex Pistols in L.A. (The Sex Pistols had broken up officially in 1978.) I don't know if the review I read was supposed to be a joke, but I thought that everyone would like to know the facts. :)

This movie Rocks!!! It's one of the first films I have seen that can show how honest and simple love can be along with all the bumps in the road that can put a strain on a relationship. It's two leading stars shine portraying the tragic lovers brilliantly. With this movie you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll all around fall in love with it's honest depiction of a real life romance and make you think about what love really means.

Great movie. Oldman made Sid someone you could like and feel sorry for. Webb made Nancy some you could hate and feel sorry for. The sound track is equally as good as the movie (it is out of print). I digitally re-masted it and put it on CD. Seventeen tracks all from the movie. BigBlueC@bellsouth.net

This movie unarguably the best movie ever made! No other movie could ever capture Sid and Nancy like this.

An interesting film and Garry is great as always in the lead role however the film got a lot of its facts wrong and after just reading john lydons book Rotten I find that john was not consulted about the film the director got many of his facts from those who barely knew Sid

wow. that was such a great movie. And you know what? I got the ending. The taxi cab part. That was them dead. woah I feel smart. But that was good. The stabbing scene wasn't too acturate. But then again, there are so many different stories of what really happened. i guess they had to pick one. Ok. buy this movie. It's worth the $20.
