Five directors deliver five frightful tales in this shocking horror anthology featuring Trent Haaga (Gimmie Skelter), Chuck Williams (Bubba Ho-Tep), and notorious Repulsion rocker Matt Olivo. Set in a dystopian future, "The Exterminator" finds a CEO tasked with reducing the world's population suddenly appearing on the list of "undesirables" to be exterminated. "Dead Letters" finds a washed-up writer seeking to deal with his wife's death by reliving the incident on paper, and "The Range" follows a pair of quick-draw gunmen as they attempt to rid the old west of zombies. The penultimate tale, "Night Scream," shows just what can go wrong when a group of college kids partying at an isolated cabin attempt to assist a damsel in distress, and a matchmaker finds out just how terrifying it can be to pop the big question on an isolated trail in "Turnout."

I love Anthology horror movies and sci-fi stuff so this was easy for me to get into. I was surprised at how different each of the segment stories were told, but the over all tone was the same. Trent Haaga was so good as the local public access T.V. horror host, it reminded me of those old Vincent Price movies in black and white. I have to say the Chuck Williams did a good job at being a tough guy, but all the blood "EWE." The old guy who brings his dead wife back to life was pretty good too, I thought the cowboys running from zombies was a change up giving the audience some old fashioned comedy like Roy Rogers meets the Three Stooges. I guess my favorite part of Slices was the general style and production of the movie, the sound was good, a little weak in spots but not bad. The picture looks great in HD, some of the scenes looks amazing outside. The way the whole movie comes together at the end which by the way is "Shocking" and then the hidden scene after the credits end. All I can say about that is She was Dirty! If you love indie horror then Slices is worth buying!

I picked up this DVD and liked it! I say buy this DVD if you watch movies like Saw, The Lost Boys or Blazing Saddles!
