Super Troopers

A handful of state troopers are put in the uncomfortable position of having to actually enforce the law in this high-spirited comedy. Mac (Steve Lemme), Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Foster (Paul Stoter), and Rabbit (Erik Stolhanske) are four Vermont state troopers whose dedication to duty is not exactly an inspiration to law enforcement officers everywhere. Stationed in a small town near the Canadian border, the troopers don't have much to do, so they while away their hours smoking dope and harassing hapless motorists. Their superior officer, Capt. O'Hagan (Brian Cox), likes the boys and they try to keep their more outrageous antics out of his earshot, but they often run afoul of fellow trooper Farva (Kevin Heffernan), who insists on doing things by the book. When Governor Jessman (Lynda Carter) announces massive budget cuts for Vermont law enforcement personnel, things look bad for the troopers and they must quickly prove their worth or they'll be forced to look for real jobs. Appropriately enough, the troopers stumble upon some information regarding a group of marijuana dealers operating along the border; the guys figure this is just the sort of high-profile bust that could save their careers, but the police department of a nearby town gets wind of the troopers' plans. The Earlville police are no friends of the troopers, and they set out to ruin their moment of glory. Super Troopers was written by the five-man comedy troupe Broken Lizard, who also star as the five troopers; the group's leader, Jay Chandrasekhar, directed.

Rabbit, Thorny, Mac, Farva, Foster, and Chief Grady are a group of state troopers. They all live in a town in Vermont named Spurbary. The men like to play games and jokes for fun, like the meow game. The men also have a knack for screwing up their job. In order for their jobs not to be cut, due to budget restraints, Rabbit, Thorny, Mac Farva and Foster have to really straighten their act up and write more tickets. One of the funniest characters, I thought, was Mac. One reason this is because he got shot in the groin with a bullet proof nutcup. Another reason is because when they pulled over the two troopers, he acted like he shot the two cops and stole the cop car. I give this 5 out of 5 stars because of the humor and the good acting. I think this movie is a good movie for teen and adults. If you enjoy a good comedy, then this is the movie for you.

“Super Troopers”, Imagine six idiot state troopers busting crimes for the local police and messing up arrest after arrest with accidental pranks that screw up their job status. Thorny, Mac, Rabbit, Foster, Farva and chief Grady are six state troopers from Vermont and they are trying to stop the use of weed coming and trying to stop it from coming in from Canada. They have some competition thought the local officers are taking away there in and if they keep it up the state troopers are going to get shut down and transferred somewhere else. Let’s face it, Super Troopers is a great movie because of its actors. When you make a movie you have to have actors that fit the part otherwise it won’t make any since. Jay Chandrasekhar hit the spot with Farva, Thorny, Mac, Rabbit, Foster, and Chief Grady. Also to having a great movie added with actors yo have to have a good script that makes since so it will keep the viewers interested. The script was right on it made since plus it was funny, it kept me watching and interested. So what would I rate this? I would give it five stars. Every time I watch Super Troopers it makes me laugh. I guess when I first saw it I thought it was going to be some dumb cop movie but it turned out to be really funny. I guess I learned not to judge a movie by its cover.

I haven't seen many good comedies lately. Things that rival the old days of Porky's, Animal House, Revenge of the Nerds, Police Academy, etc. You know, the great comedies of all time... But Super Troopers was a very unexpected suprise. I wasn't prepared to be knocked off my seat with laughter! The characters were extremely like-able, the humor was fun, the pranks were hilarious... I couldn't have asked for a better comedy. I think that it put Police Academy to shame! I just ordered the DVD and can't wait to share it with my friends. This is the best comedy I've seen in a really long time. If being a cop is anything like Super Troopers, sign me up!

This movie was awesome! The characters are orginal and histarical. This isn't some movie where you see all the good scenes in the movie trailers. No, this movie is a comedy from start to finish.

These are the types of police that I can only hope to be, and only wish that my job was like this! I laugh out loud just thinking about the scenes in this movie.

I have never been an individual who is big into the funny, raunchy, no plot type of movies. But after my boyfriend begged me to watch this movie on Pay-Per-View with him, I cant get enough of it!! I thinked we watched it at least eight more times before buying it on DVD. It is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. And I must add Rabbit with the bear, outstanding... I cant wait till Broken lizard's new movie comes out!!!

I think that this is a well made movie, yet maybe unappropriate for young children. I like how the troopers would mess around with the people when they pull them over. these are some of the smartest fiestiest and dumbest cops ever. these cops seem like they have no clue what they are doing at times but when trying to out wit the other cops. some of the caracters are beyond dumb and others you would may think belong at some collage or flipping burgers at a local mcdonalds.

This movie has to be the most underrated movie of the year. I heard the critics hated it and most people steered clear of it (I know I did), but I just saw it and can't believe it didn't get better press. It's the funniest, most slap-stick, raunchy humor that I've seen in a while. It has edgey sex(Thorny and his wife have an open marriage and take a romp with two German's that he pulled over for speeding), racism (Everyone thinks Thorny is Mexican, but he's Indian), drugs (LOTS of drugs, weed in particular, but shrooms thrown in for good measure) and then of course the fun that is blatantly had at the expense of cops. It's cheeky, funny, and just down right hilarious.
