Arguably the most influential film of the German Expressionist movement, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The viewer can choose between two different musical scores. Supplemental materials include another film directed by Robert Wiene, and a collection of still photos. This is an excellent disc for any film enthusiast.

This classic influenced SO many future films and still stands today as one of the finest examples of German Expressionism ever created. Plus ... Conrad Veidt! Anyone who professes to love movies and hasn't seen "Caligari" needs to correct that deficiency right away. A "must" staple for any serious film collector or lover of horror.
