I have been watching Christmas movies for weeks now, but this is the one that stood out to me as the best... The cast was great, my favorite being John Newton. I would love to see him in more films.

I have seen quite a few Christmas movies, but this one is hands down the best, most inspiring and amazing one I have ever seen. It tugs at the heartstrings. It will make you laugh, smile, cry and believe. In a world full of uncertainties and hard times, this movie is uplifting and made me believe once more that true love does still exist and can overcome anything. It is a wonderful movie to watch with loved ones.

God Bless all of the men and women in the armed services and thank you for all that you do! I pray that the man in my life makes it home safely from his deployment...

I watched this movie several years ago on Hallmark and loved it. Our children live in Grass Valley which is real close to Nevada City where this movie was shot. I dragged my husband there last year and showed him the diner, hotel and church. I loved it. The movie is sweet and heart warming. If you live where it does not snow at Christmas and want to feel like you do even if it is for only a short while watch this movie. You won't regret it. My son requested this movie for Christmas.

This story of a soldier in Afghanistan, who finally goes to the town where he had received a hand made Christmas card from one of the women and had carried it with him throughout his service and finally meets her. He goes into a restaurant and he orders the same thing that she orders and then he gets a job with the family in the lumber industry. It's a great love story with comments from the stars, which also includes Ed Asner, in the special features. I really loved this story and the lesson it imparts.

This has become one of my favorite Christmas movies! I have watched it countless number of times on TV since it was released. It is now New Year's Eve and I am watching it again on the Hallmark Channel. I was delighted to see that it is available on DVD and am definitely going to order it. John Newton - Ooh-la-la! Seriously though, it is a lovely family holiday movie with an underlying patriotic theme.

This film is refreshing for its patriotic theme ... or love and honor of the soldier. A bit cheesy in parts but a good Christmas flick. My father watches this movie at least 5 times at Christmas and again when it shows during February. I'm glad they are still making such clean, family movies. One of the best parts is showing a young, independent woman living and loving it with her family and the family business.
