Loved it, right up until the ending did not follow the book. Wilford Brimley is always awesome. (See him in THE THING instead.) And Tripplehorn is beautiful. You can tell my primitive level of movie reviewing, so ignore me.

John Grisham was born February 8, 1955. He graduated from Mississippi State University, then attended law school there. Many of his books have been translated into 29 languages and have been published worldwide. Many have also become best-sellers and movies. Some of these are, The Client, The Pelican Brief, The Rainmaker, and A Time to Kill. The Firm is about a lawyer, Mitchell McDeere, who joins a law firm in Memphis right out of Harvard Law School where he graduated top in his class. At first the firm seems picture perfect, but in time you will find out there is much more to know about this firm than expected. The Firm is written in a way that always keeps you on your toes. You never know what to expect next, and the suspense keeps you from ever wanting to put the book down. There is never a dull moment in the book, and you are always discovering new interesting or astonishing facts. We give this book 5 out of 5 stars. We all really enjoyed the book and want to read on to some of Grisham's other books he has published. We recommend this book to those who do not mind waiting in suspense, and not being able to predict what will happen next.

The Firm is a very compelling movie. It stars Tom Cruise, Holly Hunter, Ed Harris as well as other well noted stars. It has alot of the same plot elements that the book has. Tom Cruise stars as Mitch, the hard-working Harvard Law student who becomes enticed by the Bendini firm's benefits and salary. Little does he realize, however, that his luck is about to change. He soon finds out that the firm is owned by one of the most powerful crime families in the world, and he just might be their next target. The Firm gives a great story at breakneck speeds that gives the audience what they paid for. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great story.

The Firm is a very suspensful movie based on the best-selling novel of the same name by John Grisham. It tells the story of a struggling law student who just so happens to stumble upon the deal of a lifetime at a secretive tax firm. Little does he realize, however that his life at that point is over. The Firm is a fast-paced thriller that all can enjoy.

The Firm was an okay movie. The first part was pretty faithful to the book but then it just went down! First of all I thought that the influence of Avery Tolar was not that important in the movie. I also thought that the ending was completly different. Totally not worth my time.
