The Irish Tenors -- John McDermott, Ronan Tynan, and Anthony Kearns -- put their voices together and gained worldwide infamy for their premier 1998 concert at the Royal Dublin Society Complex, subsequently broadcast on PBS during the March 1999 national fundraiser. That concert included stunning interpretations of such traditional Celtic ballads as "When Irish Eyes are Smiling," "Only Our Rivers Run Free," "Red is the Rose," and, of course, "Danny Boy." Six original EPs and a best-of compilation followed over the next half-decade, with Finbar Wright replacing McDermott. The new home release, The Irish Tenors in Concert with the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, finds the boys backed by the Chicago Pops at the Rosemont Theatre in the Windy City suburb of Rosemont, in April 2004. This live concert features The Tenors delivering the traditional Irish tunes "Foggy Dew," "You'll Never Walk Alone," "The Old Bog Road," "I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen," and numerous others.
