I have a friend who's as much into conspiracy theories as I am. When he recommended Murder of Mary Magdalene: Genocide of The Holy Bloodline I knew I had to watch it. It reminded me a lot of The DaVinci code, just as other reviewers here mention. It's truly filled with mystery, intrigue, and a lot of things that make one rethink Biblical history. It was interesting to see some of these historical places and hear a different point of view on what "truly" happened to Mary Magdalene. Like any of these conspiracy theories, whether or not their true isn't the question or answer, they're simply fun and offer the viewer a chance to open and stretch their minds a bit more.

This film blows the doors off of the DaVinci Code, because it isn't fiction. In fact it is almost an adventure DVD as you trail the author through the steps in which he made a startling discovery which includes murder, conspiracy and a "gimp" otherwise known as a real gargoyle. Highly recommend.

This documentary altered everything I thought I knew about the controversial Biblical heroine, Mary Magdalene. The film takes you on an extensive journey to sights right out of the DaVinci Code movie, revealing an analysis of artifacts and architecture as it relates to Magdalene and the theory that she was actually the wife of Jesus and mother of his child. Some of the author's theories behind the symbolism of some of these artifacts is a bit far reaching, but definitely worth considering as factual. The film provided an entertaining adventure with an intriguing look at the theories behind a holy bloodline.

This documentary is a real hoot as it treads the same ground as The DaVinci Code. It's amazing the kind of intrigue and conspiracy you can draw from some Latin phrases and seemingly innocent coincidences. Throw in some mysterioso music, spectacular cathedral locations, a few examples of Knights Templar graffiti, talk of treasures and secrets, and you've got a continuing conspiracy to hide the offspring of Jesus and Mary Magdalene through the ages. The film claims to locate the burial spot of Mary Magdalene as well as show how she died (see title for a hint.) There's some great footage of crawling around (literally) the underside of history. For sheer entertainment, not to be missed.
