In Australia we are used to Thomas and Friends with English accents and so it was a bit of a shock to have them sounding so 'foreign' (no offence intended to Americans). The other thing which i have noticed is that the quality of the picture is nowhere near the fresh clean images of the australian thomas DVD. As Australia only has two Thomas DVD available though, i think i can cope with the many USA available titles even though they sound so odd. Also, 'The Fat Controller' is called 'Sir Topham Hat' - another suprise! My boy's reaction was 'This Thomas is strange'
