Overview

Twilight Zone: Season 1

In the years after it took its initial bow on October 2, 1959, CBS's The Twilight Zone (1959-65) evolved into one of the most legendary television programs ever made, and arguably the most enduring anthology series of all time. Executive produced and frequently scripted by creator Rod Serling, Zone offered a unique science fiction playlet every week; for the first three seasons, each episode ran 30 minutes, though the program enjoyed two brief runs of 60-minute episodes - first in 1963, and again in 1965. This box set contains all 36 episodes from the first season of Zone, with such memorable outings as Escape Clause, Perchance to Dream, Third from the Sun, and A Stop at Willoughby.
