Undead is a zombie movie from down under that puts a nice twist on the genre. The spierig brothers wrote, produced, edited, and directed it, and I would say they did a great job for their first film. It starts with a series of meteors striking a small australian town and turning the residents into zombies. Events proceed as usual in these types of films, arms are munched, heads are removed, and people flee in terror. What makes this different from most other zombie flicks is the addition of some mysterious aliens trying to take over the town as well. The Speirig brothers draw heavily from 50s B movies to give this film a nice appeal to horror and sci-fi fans alike.
