Well, I've watched the movie a couple times, and I loved it overall. It didn't seem to have a definite plot line, but it was a great movie. I did think the whole suicidal girl being saved by Mel Gibson was a bit out of place, and could have been left out. I would recommend this movie to everybody except hard core harley-riding punks who would rather spend a Saturday night, well... you get the picture... So go watch it :)

Ok, love Mel Gibson. He is a true talent and I have absolutely loved many of his films, HOWEVER, this was not the right role for him. I believe overall, it was a good script. Helen Hunt performed wonderfully. I did not enjoy seeing Mel Gibson playing the "sexy guy" role. He attempted to be very smooth, suave, and charming and instead he appeared very awkward and clumsy. The ending was such a passionate scene but Mel Gibson just didnt deliver. The whole scene fell flat because of his lack of performance. I could see the passion in Helen's eyes but I could not see it in his. The entire scene just became weird and uncomfortable. I truly believe that if someone better for the role had been cast, the movie would have landed. Not Mel's best, sorry.

this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. The plot is bad, it is badly written, and all the acting is terrible. I would have expected more from Mel Gibson.

I think this is one of the best movies I ever seen and after you see it once you just can't stop! I saw many movies of Mel but this is really one of the best (I saw ''Maverick'' at least 3 times and ''Mad Max'', each of the parts 4 or 5 times)! Keep up the good work, you're the best, Mel!

The movie's okay but entertaining and when there's a showing on TV I always turn to it.

Seeing it in the theatre did not impress me, but when it started appearing on TV I found myself watching it over and over. Not a Helen Hunt fan, but was enchanted by her character in this movie. Found the sub-plot with Tomei to be a distraction. Great selection and use of music. Ending felt a little abrupt.
