This was a great and disappionting movie all at once. First-- this movie tries to flow like a feature film, a movie that starts with a beginning, follows a plot, and ends with a resolution of the plot at the end of the film. However, the film runs very episodic in nature. They basically have the characters telling each other stories that cut into mini clips/episodes. Some of these are classic episodes that have been out for a few years mixed with some newer episodes. Personally I feel that this is a cheater way to make a feature film. If you are going to make a plot film you shouldn't rely on interjected episodes. However my biggest complaint is that this style of storytelling mixes several different animation styles and color palettes so that the film seems "choppy." In the end, the movie itself isn't bad. It's got cute episodes, and I would recommend seeing it. Just be warned it might not be what you were expecting.
