Margaret Thacher said this series gave her a lot of laughs and a lot of lessons! My family LOVED the dry British humor and we too learned a great deal about how democratic goverments work. Even our teenager enjoyed watching it and said it was a great way to learn ''civics'' lessons. (Much better than in a dry classroom setting.) Watch a British politician struggle with family time demands, pressure from special interest groups, and the funny/serious problems when the two overlap! PS There is NO difficulity understanding the English spoken here!!

This is the best TV sitcom ever. It is intelligent and witty. The picture of politics it gives is realistic, unlike the touchy-feely West Wing. College courses in Political Science and Public Administration schools should be based on it.
