DWJD explores what it means to do what Jesus did. It is to answer what may very well be the most important questions we could ever ask:
How can we be like Jesus?
Exactly how can we do what Jesus did while He was on Earth?
What did He do that was so different?
Why is it so difficult to follow His path?
How can we make His life and His choices, our lives and our choices?
Being like Jesus is a tall order, requiring a special commitment, but it is the ultimate fulfillment of the Gospels. It begins with an encounter with Jesus. We must know Him before we can become like Him.
Some might argue it’s impossible to do what Jesus did—but the Bible teaches otherwise. Jesus said we would do what He did. Paul called us to be imitators of Jesus; so did Peter, and the author of Hebrews.
In DWJD, Richard Spillman explores what it means not only to accept Jesus, but to allow Him to be your role model. Learn how to pray like Jesus prayed, love like Jesus loved, serve like Jesus served, and forgive like Jesus forgave.

What People are Saying About This
“Just over 100 years ago, Charles Sheldon pricked the conscience of the church as he profoundly raised the question: “What Would Jesus Do?” Now, from the pen of a frontline warrior, comes the practical call to move beyond the question and DO the sayings of Jesus. This is a must read for the 21st century church!” – Danny R. Thomas, D.H.L., president, Grace Place Ministries
“Not just another academic book! Dr. Spillman's book, Do What Jesus Did, is a wonderful change from the typical academic book focused on knowing about Jesus. It is about knowing Christ Jesus and then allowing His life to be lived out today in the life of every believer. The book is, appropriately, both encouraging and convicting. Encouraging, in the revelation that Jesus is alive and well, actively engaging in ministering His gospel and kingdom on earth today through the lives of saints willing to follow obediently where He leads. And convicting, when we think of how much our personal will and choices limit that life we could experience. I have added Dr. Spillman's book to my required text for all of my Spiritual Formation students.” – Dr. Kenneth Dietrich, president, Tacoma Bible College
“I believe God is moving in his people around the world to realize the fullness of what the gospel means. The Good News of Jesus Christ is not simply that our sins are forgiven and that we are welcomed into heaven—as glorious as that part of the message is! The fullness of the gospel means that we have literally been given a New Creation Nature that is fully and eternally united with Jesus Christ Himself. This reality of us in Christ and Christ in us by the Spirit has opened a whole new reality for us in terms of how we can live and act and be like Jesus. Dr. Richard Spillman’s Do What Jesus Did is a blessing to the body of Christ to release more of this Truth. What you learn here will stir you to believe that you can “do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” – Garrett Waltz, pastor, Freedom River Outreach, Tacoma WA
