Eagle Down is a book about what the author tries to portray as the non-stereotypical mercenary. Though in my opinion, it was either true to the stereotype in much of it, or it appeared as if Mason was trying too hard to go against it. There are many different characters within the book to show this. Interestingly, though, the book, though written in 1985, reminds me much of the news of today. The book deals with government behind the backs of the people, politicians doing things for their own gain, etc. I am going to keep this review short, as it has been a couple months since I read the book. So I will say all-in-all I enjoyed it, though it wasn't exactly innovative.
