Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson and Lady Charlotte Lawson are opposite in every way. Where his coloring is dark, she has blond tresses and blue eyes. Charlotte's alabaster skin tone is a stark contrast to Damien's sun-kissed tan. He is tall at six feet three inches while she is short at barely over five feet tall. Furthermore, her cheerful disposition is in stark contrast to his brooding nature. But most bothersome of all is his tendency to flaunt society's rules while she follows them without fail.

Damien desires nothing more than to spend his time carousing, drinking, and gambling while Charlotte spends hers at afternoon teas, balls, and musicals. She is a true lady and he a determined rake. When their paths cross they have every reason to turn in the opposite direction, and yet they cannot seem to avoid one another. Passions flare, putting them both at risk. They stand not only to lose their reputations, but more importantly, their hearts.

He is dark while she is fair. He is a bad boy of society while she is the good girl. They are so different like chalk and cheese. They should never have anything I. Common but when they meet, well. There is something about each of the other that brings them close. Things are about to get complicated. Follow their adventures and see if they will become a couple I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lady Charlotte Lawson had her heart broken by Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson at her coming out They are total opposites in every way colouring size but mainly attitude she is a spinster who will always obey the rules he is a rake who enjoys flaunting the rules. When she needs advice on how to seduce a possible suitor who is better to ask than the wicked Earl. He decides the best way to help her is to pay attention o her but that causes a chain reaction of attention to her and he finds he doesn't like that at all. A fun story that was nice and short and a easy read my only gripe there was quite a few typos in the story

I enjoyed this very short story with great characters, romance and intrigue. She had loved him 12 years ago as a debutante, but he had told her he would never , and walked away. She came to him and asked hi to teach her how to seduce a husband. He got multiple men to court her, but found fault with them all. The ending was great.1

Damien Archer, the Earl of Greyson was secretly meeting with Lady Charlotte Lawson 11 years ago when she declares her love for him and he tells her he will never marry. Because he broke her heart she rebuffed potential suitors for years and is now known as the unattainable debutante. She asks him to give her lessons on how overcome this and to attract someone to marry. He helps her and doesn’t think much of it until she ties herself to man like his father, who beats women and animals. He tries to dissuade Charlotte against this match only for her to ignore him. Will he prevent her from making what could be a fatal mistake and realize in time that he is not his father and is worthy of her? Damien was a jerk for leading her on 11 years ago, but Charlotte was unreasonable not listening to Damien and his friends about her cruel suitor.
