This book was not the first tarot book I have ever bough but it is the only one that has helped me truly develop my tarot intuition in a practical manner. I recommend this book for anyone looking to get away from superstition and actually learn the tarot.

I own a library of tarot books and none are as clearly written as this one! It has very practical exercises which make it easy learn cards and spreads. I highly recommend this for any one interested in expanding their knowledge of the Tarot! I also recommend his next book "Advanced Tarot Secrets".

Dusty White's book offers what the title states.  Dusty has  come up with some fun, simple exercises to help you learn the Tarot.  They work!   Dusty is a terrific teacher  and writer on this subject.  Get this book along with his second, Advanced Tar0t Secrets.

I purchased this book based on 100's of reviews here, and on other websites, and I was happy to see the  book is true to it's title. If you really want to learn tarot, not by memorizing a bunch of old dry terms for each  card, but by your own intuition, get this book!  If you've been reading tarot for years and feel like you need to  freshen up, or you are not connecting with the cards like you want to, get this book.  It's a workbook.    WRITE IN IT! Mess it up!  Learning tarot is supposed to be fun!  Just buy this book!  (Your inner self knows you want it!)

I bought the book based on everyone's favorable comments. I really enjoy his breezy approach to tarot, which helped me understand the cards. Many books are very dry in approach. This one is not. I love the sample spreads to interpret. Definitely recommend it. His free podcasts on podamatic and videos on YouTube supplement his book. If you ever felt frustrated with learning the Tarot, this is the book. He is the guy!

I LOVE this book. I just started working with it about a week ago and have accomplished more with my card reading than I have in the past few years I've owned the cards! I've left them sit on the shelf for months at a time because I was frustrated with them, now I have a hard time putting them down! Dusty does a phenomenal job in his teaching approach and takes the stress and struggle out of trying to learn and remember card meanings. It makes "connecting the dots" incredibly easy. I decided to purchase this book after reading a few reviews on Amazon, good and not so good, and I am NOT sorry I bought this! There is probably more information between the covers of this book that what you will find in several other tarot books combined. In addition I have viewed his website and podcasts he tells you about in the book which were also a huge help in clarifying things for me. I have also contacted Dusty via the e mail he provides for one on one help. He responded to me faster than what I expected with a lot of great information to help me. If there is only one book on reading the tarot that you should own, THIS is it!!

I have studied many tarot books. I bought Dusty's book and I loved it. It is written in a way that is fun to read, very witty, and it feels like you are interacting with Dusty through the whole book. You can tell Dusty really loves sharing his passion and that he genuinely wants to help you learn tarot...not just sell books. One of the best things about the book is that it isn't just another standard definitions book (although he does provide some meanings for your study convenience). He really gets you working with the cards so you get to know them and understand them. And...as an added bonus...he has a website that he personally helps you with any questions you have...for FREE!!!! It is the best tarot book I have bought and I would recommend it to anyone, novice or experienced.

I bought this book over a month ago because I wanted a workbook of some kind to help me learn to read tarot cards. I'd been trying to learn off and on for a little while, but was having a hard time making headway with memorization of card meanings. Dusty encourages students of tarot to use their intuition when reading the cards. The workbook is filled with exercises and worksheets that give you card definitions and space to fill in your own interpretations. After 30 days I was able to sit down and do a reading for myself and my friends and family without reaching for a dictionary! One of the great aspects of buying this book is gaining access to an on-line help website. Interacting with fellow students through exercises (many straight out of the book) will advance your understanding of the tarot deck even more. Even if you're planning to buy other books, make sure this is included in your collection. If you're feeling challenged to learn with other books, start with The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot - EVER!! Such a good book!

I had a lot of books that said something like "learn to read tarot" but what they really did was give meanings for cards. It seems some people can learn to read this way but I couldn't seem to take those keywords and blend them into a reading. That skill is what this book teaches, in a series of well designed exercises that build on each other until you find yourself actually able to look at those cards and see a narrative. There are meanings in the back but looking at the cards and developing you intuition are encouraged. Still finding it hard to get started on you own? Not a problem-there's a free online forum where you can get help and talk with other students. I think tarot students at any level would learn from this book, but for those of us who have struggled for a while and don't do so well with the learn keywords approach, this is the book we've been looking for.

My daughter wanted me to teach her tarot so I went in search of a good tarot manual that did more than give my daughter key words and phrases. Unfortunately, that’s all most books give you. Then I found Dusty White’s book so I bought it for my daughter. And then bought another for myself. I cannot stress enough how helpful this book is. If anyone is on the fence about which book to buy, check this one out. If you think you already have every tarot book you will ever need and you don’t already have this book, you are mistaken.

This book took me into a whole new direction in learning. I can actually use my intuition and not try to learn by memorization. It's much easier to learn using my symbol interpretation as opposed to someone elses.

So glad I found this book!  But it truly is so much more than that, it's an adventure, an intuition expanding experience, a challenge to elevate our awareness and open up a two-way communication with the Divine. It is so much more than I ever expected. At first glance/read, I must admit that I was overwhelmed and felt like it would be too difficult to experience alone.  It may be the "easiest way to learn tarot" but, it's far from easy.  This is an experience that requires interaction, effort and PRACTICE.  It's not a simple read with nice definitions to memorize or lots of fluff about the joys of tarot (though it is clear that Dusty loves and respects the history of tarot a great deal).  This is for an individual who seriously wants to stretch their intuitive being beyond it's current state.   As other reviewers have pointed out this is a "workbook", a "journal", a "course" that is full of opportunities to challenge yourself.  One of the aspects that I MOST enjoyed was the way that Dusty approaches learning what the cards mean to YOU.  Yes, the traditional meanings are included for reference but, the exercises and games are truly geared toward understanding the images at a much deeper level. It is said that "a picture is worth 1,000 words" - once I looked at the tarot as art to be explored and played with, my tarot vocabulary increased exponentially!  I understood immediately how limiting "keywords" and phrases written on tarot cards could be limiting. And as an added benefit, the traditional meanings began to meld almost effortlessly with my own interpretations.    Fortunately for me, I was very new to the tarot when I found this book, and I believe it's far easier to use this approach as a complete novice than it might be to unlearn past practices and change my tarot readings/relationship with a new way of thinking & being.  That being said, I think it would be worth the challenge and the time to explore! It was just so much fun to meet and get to know these images as characters, scenes and potentials when they are explored via these exercises and games! Another thing that absolutely surprised and delighted me about this course was that I didn't feel like I was practicing so much as playing. But, how could playing with cards enhance my ability to read them as a divination tool with precision and accuracy?  That part, truly feels like magic!  From a starting point of almost nothing... poof an ability appeared for me. This has been quite frankly one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had and I simply can't recommend it highly enough.

Have bought several books and DVD’s about tarot and taken a one day class twice, still remained confused and frustrated. I could not understand what all those symbols and numbers and colors and pictures were supposed to mean. Saw The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot…EVER! and bought it on Amazon thinking “I’ll take one more crack at trying to figure this out.” LOVE THIS BOOK! Dusty White writes with vim and vigor and sprinkles a sense of humor throughout the book. He takes the ‘ooky’ out of ‘spooky’ with the tarot and makes it FUN with games and exercises to loosen your intuitive muscles up and make the tarot ‘not scary!’ Thank you, Dusty, for sharing your many years of experience and for making my learning experience FUN! Between this book and your podcasts, I am now working my way back through this book a second time and working through the games and exercises which is giving me a better understanding of this intuitive tool!

Previously, I had taken very expensive courses on Tarot of Marseille, and should admit that I got much more from using and learning from this book in a such a short period of time (6-8 weeks). This time, I am determined to improve my reading skills and to never give up my passion about the Tarot. I believe this is The Best book on how to learn the Tarot easily and enjoy the process at the same time. The author and the teacher is absolutely passionate about the Tarot and shares all his tips and tricks to help you bond with your Tarot deck in a funny and light-hearted spirit way. I like a lot the very different and unusual way to approach the cards which makes very easy the process of getting to know your cards and allow them to speak to you ! For the 1st time, I realise that one can get much more of a card without having to memorize standard meanings, which is quite a mental hell…. If you are passionate about learning the Tarot, novice or you want to get back to the Tarot, this is The Book to buy and study with. The teacher has also a lot of free lessons (podcasts) you can use any time you wish or suits you to keep you sticking with the Tarot learning process, whatever your main objective is : to read for yourself, or to become a professional tarot reader. Absolutely amazing teaching method and style ! I highly recommend this book and I have already offered one to a colleague of mine who really appreciated it !

I have many books on tarot, but Mr. White's The Easiest Way to Learn Tarot Ever!! is by far my favorite one. The style of writing is laid back, humorous, and easy to follow; not stiff and boring. The book doesn't try to explain every single symbol of the cards; instead, he emphasizes that you use your own intuition to be a reader of the cards, which I feel is where the real power of the tarot lies, not remembering a bunch of keywords (imo, just because you know all the text book meanings does not mean you will be a good reader.) The many exercises helps you to dig deep within yourself so you can become an intuitive reader--to really understand the tarot. Mr. White even has a free special website for those who've bought the book and invites students to personally correspond with him regarding any tarot questions you might have. How many other authors do that! The Easiest Way to Learn Tarot Ever!! is a must have whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro.

i have a shelf full of tarot books and this one, HANDS DOWN is the best one. instead of just explaining what the cards mean to the AUTHOR, this book challenges YOU to interpret the cards and spreads for what they mean to YOU and the situation you are questioning. i haven't seen another book do this. there are very well-written explanations of each card, if you get stuck on a card meaning or are just curious, but the bulk of this exquisitely written, beautifully designed and laid-out book are exercises and games that get you actively involved with the tarot. there is also a LOT of humor in this book, which i love. once you learn this very practical approach, and intimately "know" each card yourself, you will automatically be able to "feel" the cards instead of having to reach for a book to read what the card means, that is, what someone else says the card means! this book really brings the tarot to life and really allows for you and encourages you to make it part of your daily life. i've been playing around with tarot cards for over 15 years now, and have learned WAY more in the two or three months i've been studying from this book than i have in the entire 15 years! seriously! i also like how the author set it up like a workbook. mine is already chewed-up and written on so much that i'm ordering another copy! this is a great book, too, to set up a little study group where you can all play the games and learn together. i suppose it could be considered a textbook if you were a tarot teacher, it would be perfect for that. highly highly highly recommended!!!!

I would totally recommend it to anyone who is on the journey if learning Tarot. Exceptional book, and the teacher is actually interested in you learning, it has only valuable information thats worth reading and none of the super duper stuff thats does not make sense and hard to understand

I received this book a couple of days ago and there's only really one major problem with the book: I can't put it down! Here are a few of my observations. The cover is simplistic, but tasteful and beautiful. It's actually much larger than I was expecting, as I was thinking it was a 6x9 book, so I was very pleasantly surprised! In fact, it's quite large, though I'm uncertain of the exact dimensions, I know it is bigger than 8.5x11. Anyway, the book itself is a workbook. It has colored sections on the side of the pages for quick reference, and this was SUCH a big help for me. If I needed to find a section on the fly, it was simple using the section markers. I have 75+ books on Tarot, buying interesting books on Tarot trying to find the right book that speaks to me & really SHOWS me HOW to read the cards. I can say out of all the books on Tarot that claim to be able to "teach" you how to read the Tarot, this book actually lives up to its word. No other book I've ever read on Tarot offers this teaching style and it really works for me! Dusty White, the author, goes an extra 5-miles and has 2 websites dedicated to helping people learn how to read the Tarot. Also, he has podcasts that are not only informative, but entertaining as well!  I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to read The Tarot. The assistance & educational tools he offers on his FREE websites alongside the book are invaluable! If you are truly ready to learn how to read the Tarot, get this book. It's the ONLY book you will ever need to instruct you correctly and easily from the very start! I rate the book 10 stars (out of 5 stars lol). Get this book!!

Yes, this really is the easiest way to learn the Tarot. This is basically a workbook that puts the power and responsibility in your own hands. There is information on the Tarot, along with recommendations for a beginning deck. I’m appreciative because the deck I have just isn’t working for me. There are numerous exercises, spreads, and lots of instruction on each card in the deck. The first exercises are designed to get you looking at your cards, and Dusty White puts it on you to decode their meaning. What it means to you is what is important, because that will work more consistently than rote memorizing when doing readings in the future. I actually had to meditate on that for a few days before I understood it. The first spread mentioned is “The Hardest Spread – EVER!!” This is easy to cast, but super-duper hard to interpret. It uses the entire deck, and requires time spent meditating on your question. But the spread? Just toss your cards up and see where they fall. I found it’s placement silly and in tune with Dusty’s sense of humor. Which brings me to the other thing I enjoyed in this workbook, the humor Dusty brought in even as a teaching tool. I literally laughed a lot going through this, and I’m drawn to the instruction books that keep me awake, aren’t you? This book is exactly what I was looking for in a Tarot Workbook. I truly look forward to going through this at a slower pace and really working through…everything! Thanks so much Dusty, this gets title of “Most Useful Yule Gift Ever!”

It's a workbook, not a bunch of meanings you have to memorize. You will need a pen, and some time to sit and read this thing. The focus is on developing your abilities as a reader, not to teach you keywords. Fortunately it comes with free online help.
