The highly anticipated follow-up to Bang. Echo is the second book in the Black Lotus series.

It's been said the longest echo ever measured lasted 75 seconds, but I can assure you, this will last much longer. The bang deafened the world around me, muting everything into nullity, allowing the reflection of its destruction to live far beyond its intended life.

It will follow me forever, destroying me--destroying you.

You want answers?

So do I.

*Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.

Sorry guys just not on board with your fantastic reviews of Echo. It didn't have the dark , somber moodiness that Bang had. The story seemed disjointed like the author wasn't sure which direction to go. By the last 1/3 of the book, I was skimming pages to the end. Disappointing. Btw really tired of Elizabeth /Nina "being sorry."

E.K., I have loved your work since Fading and will forever follow you into whatever depths your amazing mind takes me. This was the ultimate "thank you" you could have given your fans by writing this beautiful continuation of Elizabeth's journey. You most certainly did not disappoint. Take 5 years to write Hush if it means getting this kind if raw brilliance. Holy mindf**k, lady! Just WOW!!!

OMG!!!!!! Where do I begin with ECHO??  While I gave BANG 5 stars, I find it hard to give ECHO the same.  However, I came very close though and gave it 4.5 stars.  I’m loss for words to give this book a proper review it deserves.  If you’ve read BANG and loved it then you must grab ECHO and continue this crazy, dark, and twisted journey with Elizabeth/Nina as she goes through the motions of turmoil.  E.K. Blair did not disappoint.

I give this book 5 stars because EK Blair is a fantastic writer, the plot, the character development, all well done. Echo was just as dark, twisted and disturbing as Bang. This one didn't leave me feeling dirty or depressed like Bang did, but I was definitely sucked in and couldn't put the book down. 251 pgs

I NEED BOOK 3 NOW!! OMG...once again, E.K. BLAIR has left me with my mouth hanging open and completely speechless!! I need the next book ASAP!! Echo was definitely a 4.5-4.75 read for me!! I did not realize that there was a 3rd book to come, but I am so happy there is!! Wow!! I thought Bang was filled with twists and turns, and heart-stopping intrigue, but no, nothing prepared me for what was uncovered and left unanswered in ECHO!! My goodness, this book was a heckva rollercoaster ride!! Every time I thought the ride was slowing down or that I knew the answer to one thing that belief was thrown into the wind by what was revealed next. This is one seriously difficult puzzle to put together!! E.K. Blair has done an awesomely fantastic job with the Black Lotus series. The ending to Echo was waaay more surprising than BANG's ending!! Seriously, I NEED BOOK 3 NOW!! Ok, forgive me, but I have to say it, even after finding out all of the information that has been revealed to me about Elizabeth in both Bang and Echo, I still do not like her and I still have a hard time offering her my sympathy!! This woman is truly screwed up in her mind. She needs serious counseling. Her backstory is heart-wrenching, but her life as she leads it in the present is just god-forsaken. Her thought processing is still seriously flawed and completely messed up!! And it angers me every time she attempts to justify her hatred for Bennett and all of her weeping for Declan, who according to her was the best thing that ever happened to her!! She and Declan were Toxic!!! Elizabeth was married to the best thing that ever happened her...Bennett Vanderwal and she was too wrapped up in her insanity to realize it!! Again, this series is not warm and fuzzy, and there are times when I could not believe what I was reading at all, because I could not understand how anyone could treat anyone in such a manner. I had to close my eyes during certain parts and regroup!!! Having said that, the Black Lotus series is brilliantly written and I cannot wait to continue it. Great job, once again, E.K. Blair!!

I put off reading this because I didn't not want to fathom a story without Declan. Echo was definitely worth the wait. Anybody else who's putting it off, know that you will not be disappointed. It took me a few chapters to get acclimated because it wasn't very clear about what was happening or where the story was going. Echo has twists & turns I couldn't anticipate & multiple secrets that have been buried for so long. The writing, wonderful. The hate that you can feel between one character to another just jumps off the pages. While another is still a support system for Elizabeth. Every one of those scenes brought tears to my eyes. I will now impatiently wait for HUSH & will definitely read it AS SOON as it's released. - Bennett's death was never worth the life of Declan. Nothing is worth the life of the man who owned every piece of me.

This book is nothing but disappointment and empty promises, which seems to be a regular thing with this author. EK Blair made many promises for Echo. Let’s not forget the "#worsethanpee" frenzy she created only to deliver nothing of the sort. I can honestly say that I think she peaked when she wrote Bang. She should hang it up. She’ll never produce anything of that caliber again. I was utterly bored while reading Echo and I couldn’t wait for it to end. If I were a quitter I would have tossed the book aside when I was only half way through. She even had the nerve to call the ending a cliffhanger! Please! BORING! I won’t be reading the next one.

Debated on rating of 2 or 3 stars but finally settled on 3. gosh where to start?? IF you think book one was dark and twisted, you really need to prepare yourself for this one..Yikes. Was really disappointed in the change in Declan. I loved him in book one and can certaintly understand how he comes to be as he is in book two but wow what a change. The last 100 pages or so really helped make up for the 1st half of the book. So now I'm interested to see what book three holds.

Echo is book two in the Black Lotus series by author E.K. Blair. Book one, Bang, ended in the mother of all cliffhangers, leaving me with no more than my lingering thoughts of a dark and twisted story. Echo rewinds a few hours from where Bang left off, giving readers alternate character POVs, answering some questions, but creating volumes more. In the beginning, I felt compassion for Nina/Elizabeth and her painful, abusive past. By the end of Book One, I was seeing her in a much different light. Truthfully, Bang left me conflicted. Perhaps they were all better off dead. Were any of them really victims? I had to wonder. Elizabeth Archer’s world is empty now. Everything that grounded her – hate, revenge, even love – is gone. The people who motivated her actions – her father, Pike, Bennett, Declan – all of them, gone. There’s no one left. She is alone and withdrawn, but Elizabeth mastered long ago the art of closing off her emotions. Even when her husband’s attorney drops Bennett’s final bombshell, Elizabeth manages to show apathy, but no human is capable of holding up under this much loss. Sooner or later, they collapse. Her plan may have started out as revenge, but it’s Elizabeth who is being destroyed from the inside out. Echo explores the cruel and painful world of depression in a way few of us could even dare to imagine. Echo blurs the lines between love and hate so completely it left me considering whether there’s really any difference at all. This book is not for the faint of heart (or stomach). It’s dark and twisted. At the end, I’m still considering the same question… perhaps they were all better off dead. Five+ twisted stars!
