Chances are that if you like Avant, it's because you're a big R. Kelly fan. Picking up where Avant left off on his sleeper hit debut, Ecstasy finds the Cleveland-born, Chicago-groomed crooner continuing to make bump-'n'-grind R&B in the tradition of his Windy City peer. For example, the boudoir ballad "Makin' Good Love" sounds like a cross between Kelly's "When a Woman's Fed Up" and "It Seems like You're Ready," and the Cristal-splashed party anthem "What Do You Want" is a carbon copy of Kelly's "Fiesta" remix, right down to the Latin vibe and Jay-Z-like rap solo (Avant even mimics R&B bad boy Bobby Brown on the "I know I did you wrong" ballad "Sorry"). While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Avant would benefit from further developing his own signature sound. What he lacks in originality, however, he certainly compensates for by accurately capturing the gospel- and blues-informed soul style that's made Kelly a household name.

This album is HOT! Peep it!
this is the best cd i ever heard so far so i actually bought some for some girls that really is in love with AVANT
I love this cd. The song i really like is Makin Good Love. My friends and me enjoy that song.
Avant¿s Ecstasy album is not only one of the most soulful albums in R&B right now, but it also has some of the most sensual slow jams out there! It is literally hot with steamy lyrics and smooth sounds¿of course, we can¿t forget Avant¿s sexy voice. My favorite track is ¿Makin¿ Good love¿ because it is one of the ultimate slow jams and can really set the mood! Another great track is ¿Don¿t say no, Just say yes¿. I love it because you can¿t resist feelin¿ all the emotion and heart that Avant puts into the song. The song puts you in a whole other world. If you¿re feelin¿ a little romantic, ¿Thinkin¿ About You¿ is the track! It¿s a sweet romance that will melt your heart and get you thinkin¿ about your own love. On the album, Avant switches things up with some hot mid-tempo beats like ¿Call On Me¿ and ¿What Do You Want¿. No matter where you are or what you¿re doing, these songs will get you groovin¿ all night long. They definitely bring out the freak in everyone. Ecstasy is truly one of the steamiest R&B albums I own! It¿s way more than just an album¿. Its about love, passion, and music.
I really enjoy listening to his music. I like both 'my thoughts' and 'ecstasy'. my fav. song is 'making good love' as well as 'jack & jill'and... the truth is that i really like all of avant's songs (separated by avant & destny's child)
