Overview
Ed Dean Is Queer begins with Benita Ryan, a former actress who launches a campaign to roll back anti-discrimination legislation in Miami. Luis Rivera, a New York journalist assigned to the story in Florida, becomes more personally involved when he follows the struggle in San Francisco. Joanna Lee Jefferson, a biracial lesbian, becomes mayor and leads an international drive to establish an independent city-state.
