While recently filling out school applications for my daughter, my wife and I were asked to list the three books we considered most significant in influencing our child-rearing efforts. This was one of them. In an ever-changing and ever-accelerating world, timeless wisdom is essential not just to one's survival, but one's sanity and sense of peace. Few books put you on the road to such understanding of the human condition as does this one. It is timeless and one would be well-served not just in reading it, but in re-reading it. Make a gift of it to everyone you can. I keep no fewer than five copies on my shelf at all times and dispatch them liberally into the hands and hearts of those who I believe able and interested in becoming a messenger of Krishnamurti's simple wisdom.
I have read this book over 5 times. I keep picking it up. It is so spiritual and full of knowledge that is practical and useful. It has touched my life and many of my friends lives too.
