Overview

It's not easy to be a Different Kind of Brave. The kind where you find courage to "Take the Time" to be kind. It is especially hard when it could cause you to CRACK or get eaten!

Journey with Edward through this story of bravery as he discovers how kindness can change the world in an instant and bounce back in ways you never expected. Like in the previous Edward the Egg short story collection, Coloring Tales of Adventure, Edward cracks in this story too and someone is there to "tape" him back together. Let Edward encourage you to see the treasure inside of yourself. When you "Take the Time" to be kind, you can help "tape" others up too.

This early reader's chapter book includes:

  • Ten short chapters
  • Ten coloring page illustrations (one for each chapter)
  • Ten blank coloring pages with each chapter (encouraging creativity in readers to draw their own Edward the Egg

or share their own story of kindness)

My short story: I'm a North Carolina native, mother of three, professor of English, and owner of RoyalKIND, a lifestyle brand and publishing company. A couple of years ago, I was inspired to create "Edward the Egg" as a bedtime story for my oldest son who never wanted to fall asleep. This birthed RoyalKIND, a company with a mission to spark a generation that believes in their worth and "Takes the Time" to encourage ALL who come across their path. You are Royal: Chosen, Approved, Loved. Madison Mirra illustrated the original Edward the Egg at 11 years old. She illustrated "A Different Kind of Brave" at 14. She plays school volleyball and loves beach volleyball as well. When she is not busy with school events, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Madison has been a fan of Edward the Egg for many years now, hearing several stories at sleepovers with the author's daughter and even coming up with some of her own Edward the Egg stories! She loves Jesus and has a natural artistic talent which lead her to be the first illustrator for the Edward the Egg series.
