About the Author

Tamra Stambaugh, Ph.D., is a research assistant professor of special education and director of Programs for Talented Youth at Vanderbilt University. Her current research interests include the impact of accelerated curriculum on student achievement, teacher effectiveness, and talent development factors-especially for students of poverty.

Kimberley Chandler, Ph.D., is the curriculum director at the Center for Gifted Education at The College of William and Mary. In this role, she develops and edits curriculum units for highly able students. She also conducts professional development about gifted education and curriculum development for teachers and administrators in the United States and internationally.
