If you’re someone who doesn’t have time everyday to unwind and de-stress at the gym or just by having “me time” then tapping could be a good solution. It’s a way to access certain points on the body in a noninvasive manner allowing a person to relieve tension emotionally and mentally. I found that while “tapping” hasn’t totally cured my stress it’s certainly become a starting point to taking care of my mind.

I’ve heard of many different therapies outside of traditional medicine to address various physical and emotional aches. Acupressure, acupuncture, meditation, counseling, colloidal silver water, the list goes on, but tapping is one I hadn’t heard about until now. This book touts the benefits of using tapping regularly to realign the meridians or energy pathways so currents can run uninterrupted. Imagine a kinked hose, the flow of water is reduced, but when straightened out, the water runs full force. “Tapping” is applying pressure to certain points to increase the flow of energy. I particularly like that this is one of the few therapies that is super easy to do, whenever and wherever you are, it is free, and that the only risk is benefit. For the skeptics, it’s an easy experiment with the potential for great rewards.

Accompanied with affirmations as well as tapping exercises, this book is an introduction to tapping and emotional freedom.  Tapping, when used everyday, like any practice, is beneficial.  I'm going to practice using this book and the upper body technique to help with the constant upper shoulder muscle kink that never seems to go away. While I am very unfamiliar with this subject, the way the book is broken down makes learning it exciting.

EFT and Tapping for Beginners provides a helpful alternative for relieving physical pain, stress, and emotional strain. Tapping specific areas of the body (hands, eyes, forehead, etc.) is said to clear electrical blockages between meridian points in the brain. This book provides a step-by-step guide to help the reader experience these results with very little effort.

For those interested in a simple but effective emotional healing technique, EFT and Tapping for Beginners offers an easy to follow introduction to tapping – a self-administered technique to restore the body’s natural energy flow. EFT and Tapping for Beginners may be a bit overwhelming to read at first - especially when you get into pressure spots and movements you need to perform - but if you are serious about relieving stress in a medically free manner, this is the book for you. The first few chapters are similar to any other self-help/new treatment book. It lays out all the reasons why this process works. But, this book also tells you exact pressure points and movements to help you relieve stress, and it gives success stories in the back. I haven't tried this practice yet but it seems like a good alternative to depression pills and unloading on my friends.

Great tapping for beginners’ resource Don’t expect to just get a how-to guide from this book as most of the chapters explain the benefits and uses. Chapter 5 is the chapter that will give you the mechanics. However, the background information contained is helpful, easy to understand, and provides a good explanation of the development of the technique.

Similar to acupuncture, this book explains how energy flows through the body and how accessing specific points on the body can relieve “blockages” removing negative energy and releasing positive energy flows for increased emotional and physical well-being. If you are looking for an easy to follow, detailed start to EFT and Tapping, this is the book for you!

In this book one can learn about all the benefits of tapping, its advantages versus Western medicine, and the sheer ease of working it into one’s daily routine. Tapping is an easy and homeopathic way to relieve stress and anxiety. Through meditation, positive affirmations, and the pressure of tapping, you will be on your way to Emotional Freedom. When traveling through life, I believe anything that doesn’t involve medication is worth a try. I’ve been on a journey for a while, trying to maintain a mental and physical healthier way of life. This book has been added to my collection of “definite” referral books.
