I am a husband, father, grandfather and lifetime contract salesman, with experience in health writing that began in 2004. I completed theological studies with Liberty University in 1996. I am a treated hypothyroid patient with Hashimoto's disease (autoimmune thyroiditis). I formerly served as editor and forum moderator of Thyroid Health for a major multi-topic content site and as a general health writer for another, where I received Editor's Choice Awards for my articles on health subjects.
Eighty-Seven Thyroid Disease Questions Answered!by James Lowrance
- LendMe LendMe™ Learn More
Since being diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid disease in 2003, I have corresponded with 1,000s of other thyroid patients by email, message boards and forums. As a forum moderator I also responded to fellow-patients with over 3,000 reply-posts. Using some of these forum and email replies as outlines, I have rewritten and compiled them to include the best possible information on the thyroid disease subjects they were directed at answering. Postings/replies of this type are more laid-back and certainly were not written with the intent of making the New York Times best seller list but the information is good and written from fellow-patient perspective.
This "question and answer" format provides an interesting method for reading and learning about aspects of diseases, disorders and conditions affecting the thyroid gland. Many of the answers include aspects of my personal experience with hypothyroidism caused by autoimmune thyroiditis and co-morbid health disorders I have developed since my initial diagnoses that are also common to other thyroid patients.
It is my hope that the information contained in this book helps to provide an interesting, general education on hypothyroid and hyperthyroid related symptoms, diagnoses and treatments.

I read another of this authors thyroid books and led me to two others by him I have since read. This one was also educational for me and I liked being able to go to each different question and answer. There were some subjects however, that left me wanting just a bit more information but some were covered more completely. I didn't give it the best vote but close to it. The other two thyroid books I read by this writer, did get a best vote from me because they were exceptional. This one is definitely worth a read as well but was slightly below being as impressive as the other two I am reviewing, written by him. I do recommend it for people who want to learn as much as they can about thyroid problems.
