Overview

Caleb Carr recaptures the path of Conan Doyle to offer a new case of Sherlock Holmes, to which he adds the historical rigor and the deep knowledge of the human psychology that characterize all his work. One of the most popular novels of Conan Doyle is The Baskerville's Hound (1902), whose resolution has paranormal shades. Little more than one century later, Caleb Carr, who knew international success with his historical thriller The Alienist, brings back Sherlock Holmes as the main character of a new investigation with supernatural connotations. This time, Sherlock Holmes, helped by the unconditional Watson, will investigate the stabbing, in the XVI century, of David Rizzio, confidant of Mary, queen of the Scots.
