About the Author

Thomas L. Floyd has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (SMU) and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (UF). He has worked as a design engineer at Texas Instruments and senior engineer at Martin-Marietta (now Lockheed-Martin). In addition, he has five years’ experience teaching and as department head of the Electrons Technology program at Valencia Community College, Orlando, FL, and five years teaching electronics technology at Mayland Community College, Spruce Pine, NC. Floyd has been writing textbooks in electronic technology since 1975 including Digital Fundamentals, Principles of Electric Circuits, Electronics Fundamentals, Electronic Devices, Electric Circuit Fundamentals, Digital Fundamentals: A Systems Approach, Digital Fundamentals with PLD Programming, Fundamentals of Analog Circuits: A Systems Approach, Science of Electronics: Digital, Analog Fundamentals, Basic Operational Amplifiers and Linear Integrated Circuits, DC/AC Fundamentals: A Systems Approach, and Renewable Energy Systems.

After using this book in my Electronics Theory class in college, I find that it will not ever help me in the future as all topics are merely skimmed through. There are no in-depth circuitry analysis nor are there explanations of practical applications of the circuits. This book will not be joining my library to stay, as I will be selling it back to the campus store for one tenth its original price.

B&N is offering complete functionality, and the possibility to print 150% of your eBook, but at this moment they cut me off to less than 30%. This don't allow me to follow the special topic, or look for assigned problems and answers, neither to add notes to my Book as should I do in order to organize my class content by level of importance of topics, and breaking down difficult concepts with additional explanations. Customer support sucks, they transferred me from one to other AGENT, and at the end they gave me a phone to call to other Nook study agent, as that was a 3rd party involved. So, be aware to be buying, anything online with this people. This is the second time they manipulate my orders, just buy what you can see in your hands!
