You can't go wrong with any of the Elephant & Piggie books by Mo Willems. The characters have such a personality and the drawings are so simple that the kids love them! I especially love this book and so do my students, Piggie is a riot and Elephant (Gerald) is so lovable. This was one of those "Read it again!" books that the kids ask to have repeated right away. The students loved mimicing the dance moves from Piggie and predicted how Elephant would react to Piggie. If you love the Elephant & Piggie series, this is definitely one to add to your collection. How can you not love those two friends?

I read it to my 5 year old daughter. I didn't like it. She was indifferent so we didn't buy the book. I would not reread this one.

Mo Willems uses animals to make apoint in all fo his books. Mo's done it again, and this time, it's an elephant that shows the way. It's not so much that elephants cannot dance as elephants usually don't dance becuase they do not try. For children, it's good to point out to them that they can do anything they want to, if they put their heart, soul, and nmid to it. Another winner in a very long line of boks for Mr. Willems. Go Mo!

My granddaughter love this series; however, this book did not have a very interesting story. It was disappointing.

I'm a first grade teacher and my students always love Mo Willems's stories. This is an adorable story about trying hard and doing the best you can. It's not as funny or witty as "There is a bird on your head" or "Watch me throw the ball", but I'm sure my students will look forward to another one of their adventures.
