When William, the Earl of Westhampton, married Elizabeth he was her knight on a white horse. The illusion was shattered when he left her, untouched, on their wedding night. William has been traveling the world for four years while Elizabeth has been dealing with society's scorn. Neither of them expects to find the other in a brothel. That meetings opens William's eyes to the desirable woman Elizabeth has become and he decides to finally become part of her life. Elizabeth, however, scorns the man who has left her alone all this time. This story was a novella so the plot moved swiftly, perhaps not as well rounded as it could have been. However, the appealing characters and story make this quick read a delight.

I read all four and then Kent's debut novel. All were good reading, entertaining with just the right amount of spice.
