Elvis and the Buried Brides (A Southern Cousins Mystery, plus bonus short story) by Peggy Webb

You’re invited to the most anticipated wedding of the year! As a bonus, enjoy the short story, ELVIS AND THE DEADLY LOVE LETTERS, plus recipes from cousin Lovie’s kitchen!

Callie is finally saying “I do” again! Lovie’s throwing a bridal shower, Mama’s making plans for grandbabies and Elvis is searching for a four-legged tuxedo. But somebody out there is looking for T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Can Elvis sniff out the crime in time for the nuptials or will hunky Jack Jones be left crying in the chapel?

This cozy has it all – wedding cake, high heels, a bad boy on a Harley, and a famous dog (Elvis made me say that)!

Peggy Webb absolutely shines at mixing comdey with cozy mystery! I've read all the books in this series, and this is one of the best yet! As usual, Callie is up to her designer shoes in crime, and her cousin Lovie is right there with her, armed with her baseball bat and a pocketful of candy bars. But Mama and Fayrene stole the show in this one. I nearly fell off the couch laughing when they interrogated" one of the suspects! As always, Elvis, the hilarious sleuthing basset hound, has his paws all over the crime. He's one of my favorite characters, and I love that this author lets him "tell" part of the story.Animals and cozies seem to go together. Both this series (The Southern Cousins Mysteries by Peggy Webb) and Dianne Harmon's Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series have delightful canine characters. They have good cooking in common, too! You don't want to miss the recipes from Lovie's kitchen. I've tried them. They're good. I especially enjoyed reading Webb's notes telling the origin of the receipes. Some of them have been handed down in her family. I wish I could have sat around her Mama's dinner table!"

"ELVIS AND THE BURIED BRIDES is an entertainingl combination of humor, romance and mystery. Peggy Webb once again proves why she is a bestselling author! She pulls out all the stops as Callie and her zany cousin Lovie, find themselves the target of small-town bad guys who want to make sure Mooreville's society wedding of the year does not take place. You'll find Callie's Mama and and her best friend, Fayrene, at their funniest in this book. Without giving away any spoilers, I'll just say that when they set out to catch the criminals, I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. The short story is a delightful addition to this book. And don't miss the recipes! If you love good Southern cooking, Easy Chicken Casserole is to die for!"

Elvis is very excited. His human parents are getting back together, and he'll be best man during the renewal of the vows. But the next morning everybody's at the church but Callie and Lovie. The Valentine women are missing, and nobody believes the note supposedly from Callie that says she ran off to Vegas. Jack and Elvis know something's very wrong, and they're determined to find Callie and Lovie. Add the antics of Ruby and Fayrene to the mix, and you've got another funny, entertaining story from the prolific Peggy Webb! I've read all the books in this series, and I love them. I think you will too!
