This book is full of misinformation. Mr. Curtin claims to have been a friend of Elvis Presley. If he was, he must have been a very distant one.  The most ridiculous story in the book was about how and why Elvis broke up with Linda Thompson. Plus his story lines make Elvis sound so sickeningly sweet I was afraid I was going to become diabetic while reading it. With so much false and inaccurate information I was not  sure I could believe the parts I was unfamiliar with.  With books written by Elvis's REAL friends, this book is a waste of money.  Mr. Curtin said he gave his "good Friend" a custom made guitar and "asked Elvis to pose for a few photos with me and the guitar and he called in Joe  Esposito to take the shots."  With all the photos of Elvis that are included in the book I thought it was curious as to why you only show a  photo of you and the guitar.   "After one photo was taken, Elvis told Joe to take another "for assurance." Why didn't you include those two  photos? That is from your book and those are your quotation marks for what Elvis said. "On one of the photos he wrote,  "To Jim, thank you for your beautiful gift ---- Elvis Presley!". Thats also from your book. Why wasn't that one photo included?

Hi, its me again! Well couldn't leave this book out. Not a chance! It's a Jim Curtin masterpiece. Hey maybe we should knight Jim, or give him the title of the ELVIS ARTIST or something. This guy is unbelievable! 'SIR JIM CURTIN of ELVISLAND!' Well let me get back to my review. I feel as if I am already a expert on JIM CURTIN book! haha. But here it goes: I can tell that this book was researched thoroughly. Not one thing that I could think of was left out. I mean even the people's home addresses were included! That takes true dedication! But if I had to name one thing that truly impressed me about this book was the investigation of Elvis' family tree. OMG back to Denmark to 1595! If Jim and his writer/researcher Renata do not get awards for this book or the Xmas one .. then the world is good for nothing! With this review I declare myself a JIM CURTIN follower! Haha this is sounding real corny here, but Jim's books are truly the best. All honest and done with love! Class 'A'
