This book was even better the The Conduit. Stacey Rourke has done it again. I could not put the book down. The story was "WOW". When you are reading her books you feel as though you are there, actually experiencing what the characters are. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and see what Stacey Rourke has got planned for it. Way to go.

Another page-turner!! I was given this book for an honest review. Oh my word!! Just like The Conduit, I honestly think that I would have read this book in one sitting if I did not have other responsibilities! I am a fairly sarcastic person most of the time (at least in my head), so I appreciated the humor and sarcasm expressed by the characters. The developing love interests in each of the siblings’ lives, as well as the twists and turns in the fight against the Dark Army, kept me engrossed in each new chapter. Celeste, Gabe, and Kendell’s endless antics did not disappoint. I look forward to reading the continuation of the Garrett siblings’ adventures in the novella and the third book of the series; April cannot get here fast enough!

Book two of the Gryphon Series, Embrace, was just as good (if not better) than the first!! Stacey has done a fantastic job with the second book in her series and spectacularly mixes things up a bit! It still has all of the fun, quirky characters that I fell in love with from the first book, but the demons get a whole lot more interesting!! From sexy to geeky, there is a demon for everyone! The story was fast paced and I had a hard time putting it down!! Celeste gets better with each page you turn: her come-backs, powers, and sheer bad-assness astound. The end left me craving more, literally! I stayed up until 2:30am to finish the book (somehow managing not to wake my son or husband from the giggles I couldn’t keep contained), but it wasn’t enough. I knew I didn’t have enough energy to keep my eyes open to actually start the third book (Sacrifice), but I had to figure out who had Celeste in such a tizzy!! The answer did not disappoint!! Stacey’s writing is wonderful and her sense of humor and wit comes shining through in full force!! I can’t wait for MORE!!

[This review also appears on Andi's Young Adult Books.] I loved the first book, The Conduit. That was why I agreed to do this blog tour. However, any time I prepare to read a sequel, I always worry that it won't hold up to the first one and that I will be gravely disappointed. I didn't need to worry. I was actually sitting in a local diner, enjoying my breakfast when I started this book. I almost embarrassed myself snickering and snorting. By the time I was home to finish reading, I was prone to actually laughing out loud. Celeste has a spunky sense of humor that Stacey captures ever so well. She knows that she is the Chosen One, but is still so self-deprecating. It helps to keep her more down-to-Earth and relateable as a character. "Back when I was just "normal" Celeste I was accustomed to embarrassing myself in front of the opposite sex on a fairly regular basis. But never like this. As the Conduit I now had supernatural ways to humiliate myself. Awesome." Add to the angst a brother who is making out with a three hundred year-old Guardian, a lion in superhero underwear, and a demon Glee club, you can understand why Celeste is going crazy and I am publicly humiliating myself. I also do not envy Celeste in her role as The Chosen One. She never knows whom she can trust, which continues to make her dating life a disaster. The Dark Ones are on her side; her friends are really Dark Ones. Her family picks on her even more than before, because they have come to terms with their gifts. Stacey Rourke has delivered another comical page-turner with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the new installment to come out this fall! [I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.]

"Seriously! I don't know whether to throw kisses your way or rocks. Just finished Embrace. Loved, loved, loved, but come on - the ending! It's already 11pm here. How on earth can I sleep after that cliff hanger! When do we get the next installment please? I might just pop in excitement! Lol" Okay, so this is not my usual way to start a review, but this was my immediate response to Stacey Rourke , and I mean immediately after completing Embrace. Maybe it will suffice as a review as it sums up my immediate response? But, hey, what fun would that be, so I'll add just a wee bit more! Embrace, just like The Conduit, held my attention from the very first page all the way through to the end. There was no secret skimming ahead. I allowed myself to savour ever word, every description, every thought that Stacey put into Celeste's head. And, I enjoyed every minute of it. We learn that little bit more about the characters and are introduced to some amazing new characters along the way, who no doubt will feature pretty heavily in book three, Sacrifice. I loved the intensity of the relationships, the constant twists and turns as well as the moments that I very loudly went 'ah ha' (there were several!). What I additionally reveled in, was Stacey's wonderful wit that is evident through her characters; it truly helps to shape and personalise her characters, and offered an element of realism which I always marvel at considering the genre. And finally the ending! You will have read my quoted message involving rocks and kisses. I wish I could say I was exaggerating; however, I am not. A fellow blogger recently referred to Stacey as the 'Cliff-hanger Queen', and indeed she is; however, I now, and from this moment forth will fondly refer to the wonderful Stacey Rourke by the appropriate title 'Evil Genius'. There are no more words... ...Okay just a few more...I wholeheartedly and without reservation rate Embrace 5 twinkling stars!

Stacey Rourke has done it again. The second book to her Gryphon series is just as fantastic as the first. Celeste (the Conduit of the Gryphon), her brother Gabe(turns into a lion) and sister Kendal(sprouts wings and is almost indestructable and a healer) join once again with Alaina(the bird/angel guide to all things mythical) and Grams(thier spunky grandma, who is in on the secret)to try to save the world from Demons sent by THE COUNTESS. Due to a pact made by their ancestors, they have special powers that are to be used to protect THE GRYPHON and everyone on earth. Celeste is struggling with the responsibilities of being the Conduit, because she feels like she is a danger to everyone around her and cannot now have a life at all. Celeste meets Rowan, a demon who swears that not all of them are bad, and Caleb, a hot mysterious Irishman. Of course she doesn't know who she can really trust. I gets even harder to figure out who the bad guys really are when she meets a ragtag group of demons, who call themselves, THE GLEE CLUB and love to burst into song, who also swear they aren't all bad. Celeste and her group have to sift through the lies to find the truth, who the bad and good guys are, all while trying to fight demons and save the earth. You have got to check out Stacey Rourke, her books are fantastic.
