¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ NOTE: I bought Embrace the Night on my own as I'm reading the series. I was also given a free copy of the book from the author in exchange for a honest review. ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿   Embrace the Night is book #5 of Caris Roane's Blood Rose Series.   The Blood Rose Series is easier to pick up in the middle than Guardian of Ascension/Dawn of Ascension series. There's not a lot of mention, except in passing of characters in the previous books. The villian is about the only carryover... and in this one, there's an another villian.   The characters are likeable and as soon as you start reading, you're drawn into their world. You cheer them on as the try to fit in each other's world. It's the journey that's so great about these stories. You know you're going to get your HEA, but it's how they get there.   Another thing, and if you've read other reviews by me, I usually talk about the sex scenes. Some reader like sex scenes bordering on erotic, others would rather just skip the whole thing. I'm not sure if any author likes knowing if you took the sex scenes out of their books, it flows just fine without it. To me, that's a good book. It means it stands alone, and the sex scenes are enhancements. This like most of Ms. Roane's books are like that. Skip them and you don't lose the flow of the story or enjoy some hot sex scenes.   Enjoy!!!

An excellent addition to the Blood Rose series, this novella tells Jude and Hannah's story. Jude is a Mastyr who has suffered a loss, Margheta killed his wife and daughter a hundred years ago. Hannah is a human who owns the bar where those from the Realm can go and relax, safe in the knowledge that they won't be burnt to a crisp when the sun comes up. Now Hannah knows all about the Blood Rose phenomenon that is sweeping the Realms, after all, she is part of the group that have set up a communications network in the hopes of working around Margheta and still finding ways to talk to each other in emergencies. Hannah is not prepared to leave her bar though, for reasons that she will go into. This is fast-paced, the same as all of the Blood Rose series, but full of information and action. With no grammatical or editing issues that I found, I can definitely recommend this book and the series. Can't wait for the next one. * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

This is the 5th book in the Blood Rose Series and they just keep getting better and better! Mastyr Vampire Jude has sworn off women after he lost his wife and daughter but when Hannah saves his life he can’t seem to deny himself. Will Jude be able to move beyond his past and claim Hannah as his? Great paranormal read, lots of suspense and dream and oh so hot. A great read!

~~~Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.~~~ The Blurb: He ignored his deepest needs for a hundred years… Mastyr Vampire Jude has kept his distance from all women because he lost his wife and daughter to an enemy attack a hundred years ago. He won’t go through that kind of loss again. And he won’t jeopardize another woman’s life while the deadly Invictus wraith-pairs still pose a threat in the Nine Realms. But when Hannah saves his life by creating unexpected fire from the palms of her hands, he knows that something ‘very realm’ is going on with her and he can no longer ignore his long-suppressed desire for the beautiful owner of the Gold Rush bar. When his cravings for her blood and her body drive him to take her to bed and tap into her vein, his world shifts forever. But can Hannah make the adjustment to a life lived on the frontlines of an ongoing war? And if anything should happen to her, how could Jude ever live with himself? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really enjoyed this book. Jude and Hannah work so well together. The love they’ve always had for each other grows into loving each other as a couple and is beautiful. The war with Margetta and her Invictus continues as she targets Jude and unleashes another power against the realm folk. Hannah develops a power of her own and steps further into Jude’s world while tightly holding on to her freedom and life outside the realm, not wanting to give it up. They both are conflicted in their feelings and struggle to understand and fully accept them while always caring for one another. I really do love this world and series and thoroughly enjoy each new read in it.
Free copy in exchange for honest review. Book 5 in the Blood Rose series brings Mastyr Jude together with Hannah, a "human" he watched grow up in Port Townsend, WA. Their coming together highlights again how two different people can be a solid team, supporting each other - stronger together. There is also the need to overcome both past losses and past bad experiences, to be comfortable in yourself and recognize that it is best to embrace the opportunity for happiness than to let life pass you by.
Book 5 centers around Mastyr vampire Jude and the human Hannah. I liked this installment. It was predictable and had the usual blood rose traits, but I enjoyed Jude and Hannah. The plot moved smoothly and quickly. It was an easy and enjoyable read. Jude lost his wife and daughter about 100 years or so ago, and since then he has made the decision to not get involved with any woman in any sort of long term relationship. Hannah is a human woman who runs a bar and grew up around Realm Folk and Jude in particular. They have been friends the whole time and so they go into the change in their relationship with a bit of doubt about whether they should change their status. Jude began hanging out more and more in Hannah's bar and Hannah is running Jude's communication center that has tied all of the parts of the realms together. As they hangout, more and more, Hannah's blood rose status awakens and she and Jude begin to find each other more and more attractive. They ignore their new attraction at first, but after a night where Jude is attacked outside Hannah's bar and she comes to the rescue, they have an explosive night together. Once they give in to their attraction things move quickly. Hannah struggles with the fact that she doesn't want a relationship and doesn't want to change her way of life, but she can't resist Jude. She has loved him for a while, first as a friend and then as the man she loved. Jude doesn't want to get too close to Hannah but he also can't resist her. Margetta is up to her usual antics, but Hannah has a special and rare realm gift that helps her stand up and protect Jude from her. At the end of the conflict, Hannah and Jude are forced to acknowledge their love for each other and what they want together. When they bond, Jude is given the ability to fight Margetta and they succeed in yet another large battle against her and her Invictus pairs. I enjoyed their story and I look forward to book 6 :-) ***Copy given in exchange for an honest review.***
Love these two! This is Jude's story. He is the Mastyr of Kellcasse... about a century ago, he lost his wife and daughter and never wants to feel that kind of pain again... stays away from letting himself feel anything more than friendship for another. In comes Hannah... he has known her since she was born... but lately each has been giving off some major vibes of attraction. Now all of a sudden the wraith pairs are appearing in her world... trouble and danger follow. Among her feelings for Jude coming to the surface, she also has this unknown ability appear. We see how things develop for the two of them. Each has their own reasons for not wanting the Blood Rose Bond... can they work together and save his people? Another great book in this series! Each can be read by themselves, but together more and more of the pieces build and show more of this incredible world. I am really enjoying getting to know all of the characters throughout this series. Definitely a book that pulls you in and touches you when you see how the characters struggle. -Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.
Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review. Jude’s long black curls! Yummy! 3.5 Stars. I really wish this was more fleshed out. A longer read would have really made it shine. I wanted to delve into Jude and Hannah's past and psyches more. I really love this world the author has created and it seems I just can’t get enough and that colors my reviews because I want more. Selfish, that I am. Putting my selfish desires aside, you really can’t go wrong with a story by Caris Roane.
yet again this was a thoroughly good read. I am loving this series and still find it interesting even after 5 books which you cannot say for some series.. Hot and steamy romance as we have come to expect, but again a wonderful story of love and friendship. By end of book you feel you have on a rollercoaster ride. Brilliant.
This is my favorite one so far. I got so attached to Hannah & Jude, they overcame so much to be together. We still get to visit with previous characters from the first books. We get closer to getting rid of the evil. Copy gifted in return for honest review.
OMG!!!! This is the book to read. Caris Roane has done it again!! Hannah is a human running a bar and has no interest in Jude. He is a Mastyr Vampire from the Nine Rhelms who has suffered greatly. Jude has sheltered himself after his life changing incident. She owns a bar and is happy being a human and then things turn bad for her in a great battle. Throw in a explosion  br burning dow and an ancient fae and a little romance that turns into something greater and you have a great book. The love scenes and fight scenes are the best. The way Jude and Hannah find their way to each other is brilliant I would totally recommend this book to anyone looking for a  great  romance novel to read. * copy gifted in exchange for an honest review
"Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review." I love my Roane fix. The characters are so easy to love. This is the 5th installment in the Blood Rose series. I would recommend this escape for those craving a paranormal romance fix. Jude, Mastyr Vampire, and Hannah, human, have known each other and have been friends for many years. What triggers this Blood Rose connection has not yet been revealed by the author. Jude and Hannah try to fight their attraction to each other but their too real battle to save their beloved realm people requires this joining to take place. Powers are coming on board for Hannah and she does not hesitate to use them to save Jude and his Realm. This is my favorite of the Blood Rose  series.
Caris's writing is never a let down! Loved reading this story even though at one point the main female character Hannah really made me mad by an internal head rant. I even stopped reading to tell my husband about it, lol. He didn't get it, even tried to say that it was like him complaining about is video game, which it totally isn't, but anyway I know that is a lot for her to take in as she is or was only human, and I guess in order for Hannah to figure out what she truly was battling within herself she had to act that way. Jude also had some internal issues to figure out, but he was more cautious as to what was happening so that he can protect his Realm and Hannah. Even though Hannah upset me I'm glad she was able to see the truth and accept in order for her and Jude to face off Margetta. Caris did an amazing job writing in great detail as I felt upset, happy, and sad. I even cried a little towards the end. Can't wait to read how the next Mastyr finds his Blood Rose and hopefully once they all do how together they will bring down the enemy! *Copy was gifted in exchange for an honest review.
