This was a quick read for me. Definitely not a heavy serious book, although it does have it's merits! I enjoyed the story very much. Emma is quite a go getter! I liked that about her. She has a secret (as per the blurb) that she guards at all costs. This secret is what drives the story. You want to know what it is. You get little hints here and there, which is awesome. It keeps you kind of thinking about it and guessing. I was entertained. There are some good characters here and a good story. **I like this cover versus the others! **i received a free copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This was a fun and entertaining read. I really liked the main character, Emma. She's upbeat and very contemporary… like someone who might be working in my office. The twist at the end surprised me. Will this chick lit/romance change your life? Probably not. But it's a book that will keep you thoroughly entertained.

Fun story, interesting twist. Emma has the life she wants, or so it seems. Everything is in it's place until Guy comes in and throws it all out of whack. The hot and sweet tech guy gets under her skin. Question is, will he reveal her secrets? or will she do it first?

Thank you to Lia Fairchild for sending me a copy of Emma and the Tech Guy in exchange for an honest review. Welcome to Writer’s Corner! This is one of Lia’s more recent books. What did I think of this selection? Synopsis: Emma has worked hard to help build the New You magazine. She is one of the top people other than Bill her boss. One day there is a meeting in her office where Bill introduces the new IT person Guy. He and Emma will be working close together on multiple projects. Is this really what Emma wants? Is Guy up to something? What is going on with these missing computer files? Will everything be okay at home as well at work? My Thoughts: Lia Fairchild is a new author for me. I was honored when she asked me to review her novel. It is available in both ebook and paperback. The book is well written. She created interesting characters. The story is mostly told from Emma’s perspective. If you are a fan of Meg Cabot then you will love Lia Fairchild’s writing. I feel that this style of writing greatly speaks to the younger crowd. I was not a fan of Emma the first person internal monologue throughout the book. We learn a great deal about the wants and needs of the main character. I would have liked to have seen more points of view such as between Emma and Guy. by Jencey Gortney/Writer'sCorner

This is a very well written book.  Lia Fairchild does a wonderful job in weaving the story to hook the reader and keep them captive.   The twists in the plot are awesome and much unexpected.  Great book, I recommend this one!  I give it 4 stars.

Emma is the second in command for a magazine that is doing well, but isn't quite up to speed electronically.  Her boss brings in someone without quite consulting her and she is not quite happy with this addition to the staff.  Pair that with drama in her home life and Emma has some drama headed her way. Without the major twist at the end of the book, I would not have liked this book as much.  As I can not reveal any parts of the twist, I may have to keep this review short and simple.  This was a great quick read and was perfect to read during the Bout of Books read a thon!

This story has potential, but everything is told to the reader. I felt like I was listening to a friend who didn't know how to tell a good story and so told everything.
