Good writing style...real page turner. Am going to start 3rd in series, very good reading.
I DID write a review, B&N, and you didn't post it. OK. Try again This book is a fictional depiction of one man's expectations of what a post EMP world would look like. While it is an easy read, with only a rare error in diction, and is therefore interesting enough, it is also one man's sexual fantasy (SO Typical-male) concerning how it would play out should a man trying to get home to his wife and child come across a needed companion who is a single attractive female. I was a little disheartened by that, and felt that the "typical-male" attitude was a detriment to the book. Still it isn't terribly graphic, and other than my finding the need to skip those portions of the man's self-justification for putting his personal fantasies and willingness to cheat on his wife under certain extenuating circumstances into the book, (after all, he is the author) its not a horrible read- has a bit too much muscle and lust in it for me, but there will be men who find it readable. In fact, it has a bit of useful information one could take away from it, concerning TEOTWAWKI.
