Empire Sunsets is a collection of poetry that relentlessly grapples with the timeless themes of life versus death, complacency versus transformation, and joy versus suffering, all while attempting to restore what remains of our collective human consciousness in this post-modern spiritual decay. This collection aspires to connect the fading forefronts of nature and community with that of the human soul's everyday condition. Breaking through the eyes of a heavy heart, Empire Sunsets is a portrait of what lives inside the palpable Westernized body of the city; its skyscrapers and sidewalks; its tunnels and parks; hoping to spread like a sunlit wildfire into the hearts of the many, before we run out of life.
