Identifies & examines six successful employment training projects, providing a variety of geographic locations, client populations, program sizes, & funding sources. All of the projects meet the established criteria of having outstanding results in enabling their graduates to attain self-sufficiency, measured by performance indicators such as completion rates, job placement, & retention rates. Discusses the characteristics, structure, & outcomes of each project & identifies the common strategies for success shared by the projects. Includes comments from the Dept. of Labor & a bibliography.
