Gary Crew has been writing books for young people since 1985, when he was a high school teacher. He has won numerous awards for his science fiction and mystery titles. He currently lives in the mountains of eastern Australia with his wife, Christine, and his dogs, Ferris, Beulah, and Miss Wendy.

Gregory Rogers lives in Brisbane, Australia. He studied fine art and worked as a graphic designer before he began illustrating books. In 1995, Gregory became the first Australian illustrator to win the prestigious Kate Greenaway medal. In his spare time, he loves playing music. He also collects CDs, antiques, books, and anything that might get dusty.
