Drawing on the writings of students, both graduate and undergraduate, Engaging Feminism explores issues of power, process, and content on the college campus. The contributors record their feelings about the new scholarship on women as it prompts reconsideration of their family relations, friendships, sexuality, racism, feminism, and classroom experiences. Their descriptions of their personal struggles vividly detail the ambivalences, complexities, and rewards that await those who explore feminist perspectives. Indeed, students' critiques of their education, their coping strategies, and their visions for change represent a major challenge to educators both inside and outside women's studies.
