Overview

Knock at the Knocker on the Door,
Pull the Bell at the side,
Then, if you are very quiet, you will hear a teeny tiny voice say through the grating "Take down the Key." This you will find at the back: you cannot mistake it, for it has J. J. in the wards. Put the Key in the Keyhole, which it fits exactly, unlock the door, and...WALK IN.

"Who says that English folk have no fairy tales of their own?" England is steeped in a rich culture, folk-lore and legend. Tales of castle-dwelling giants in the sky; a tiny boy who is so small he can ride a butterfly, magic beans and three little pigs who out-wit a hungry wolf, feed the imagination of all ages. Joseph Jacobs has scoured the land in search of the best known fairy tales in English history and has compiled his findings in his book "English Fairy Tales."
Explore the origins of English Fairy Tales which inlude over 40 classic tales such as:
Jack the Giant Killer, Dick Whittington and his cat, The History of Tom Thumb, Jack and the Beanstalk and many more.

My daughter loved hearing these classics at bed time, it sent her off to sleep with a smile on her face. She particularly liked the story of Tom Thumb. Once she was asleep, i carried on reading which brought back nostalgic thoughts of when i was a child... all those years ago. A perfect bedtime read for all ages.
