Just when I thought it couldnt get any better Felicity goes and does it again. I love reading the VET series. They are like a mini vacation that when its over you are sad.
Felicity Heaton has come up with a tremendous series with the VET books. Enslave, as with the 3 books before it, is a fab read. I love all of the characters that Felicity has introduced us to in books 1-3 but it was nice to meet some new faces - look forward to seeing more of them all in the books still to come. Andreu (Javier's brother) was a very strong, intriguing character. Varya's character was interesting & engaging and I thought she was a great match for Andreu. As with the previous books, Felicity injects tons of romance, passion, chemistry, suspense and heat (there's some great steamy sex scenes :D - not that you would you expect any less!!) You will be taken on a really enjoyable emotional rollercoaster ride with 'Enslave'!!! Looking forward to future books in the series - especially Snow's story - can't wait to see how that goes!!! Go on, dive into the VET series and grab yourself some delicious vampires (as well as some other fab paranormals) You'll be so glad you did!!!
Huge 5+ stars!! Enslave is book four in the Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series, but it can be read as a stand alone - but really, you don't want to miss out the first three, trust me! So, here's our hero, Andreu, Javier's brother, an Elite Vampire. He's all business, he doesn't do romantic stuff. He wants fun and he likes his freedom thank you very much. But there's one woman who sets him on fire, after all she is a succubus, but then again, Andreu has a hell of a willpower. What I really like about his character is that he's not changing all of a sudden because of a woman who just came from nowhere. You know that cliche, when there's a tough guy who is just as much as romantic as a carrot, and then a woman comes in and that guy almost immediately turns into Romeo v2.0. Well, Andreu isn't like that. He takes his time to delevop his feelings for her and to accept them. There were scenes where I hated and would have beat the crap out of him AND loved him at once because of that. Varya (I love her name!) is a succubus. And we're talking about real succis here. They seduce men, they feed, steal their victim's energy and they don't have soft feelings, they can't have those feelings, especially love. But Varya's got bored of this kinda life style, she's doing it basically only for survival and not for pleasure. Men with dark auras - like Andreu -are forbidden to her species. But we, women are just can't resist the temptation of forbidden things (right, Eve?!). Varya is fun to read, because she's a really complex character. In the previous book I missed the minimal action that we got in the first two books. We didn't get real action in Enslave, but I think we definitely got the same adrenaline rush, we get when we're reading real action scenes. The whole book was so intense, and there were several exciting scenes, sometimes because of some mystery the other time because something dramatic and actually thrilling stuff happened. Speaking of mysteries. There was a few. And there was a twist with one of the major characters, that I really loved and wouldn't thought of that. I loved how the side characters were involved in this book. While in the first three books we didn't really see them, the focus was always on the actual main characters, in Enslave, they were real parts of the book. I enjoyed seeing how the major characters of the series worked together to catch Varya, to figure out what she wants and eventually to save her. Overall: I don't know how she does it, but Felicity continues to deliver books hotter than Hell, and they just keep getting better and better. Enslave is filled with lots of sexual tension, mystery, intrigue and has a thrilling plot. It's oficially my favourite in the series.
Another decadent story by this amazing author...... Andreu agreed to his brother Javier’s request to help out at the Vampirerotique theatre, but only because it served his own purpose. Andreu cannot bear the thought of wasting his time working for another as Javier has done, and strives to become a successful business man in his own right. Andreu is appalled that so many of the Vampires at Vampirerotique have allowed themselves to become tied down to one woman, something he has vowed will never happen to him, as a successful future will afford him the pleasures of many. Varya is unsure what has drawn her to the Vampirerotique theatre, but she is compelled to watch the decadent and debauch performance on display, as it feeds her Succubi nature. While caught in the thrall of the actors engaging in carnal acts on stage, she is unaware that her glamour has slipped and the more powerful Vampires within the theatre have sensed her presence. Varya is forced to flee to escape discovery, but finds she is unable to tear her gaze from the imposing Vampire with the dark aura and pursues him even knowing that she risks capture. Enslaved is the story of a Vampire with no need of entanglements and a Succubus who believes her kind have no emotions. As with previous books in this series, their story reveals the unexpected and shows that deception is everywhere and closer to home than think.
