I think I must have said those words with every twist and turn of this book, including the "cliffhanger" which isn't really that as much as the prologue to the next novel. Going into this book, I admit I was skeptical. I mean let's be real about it-most everyone has read of pirates in the historical era but never in modern day. This novel has exceeded everyone of my expectations! Drama: check Fiesty (and whiny) Sidekick: check, check Bold Heroine: check, check, check Hot Bad Guy with a heart of Gold: check, check, check, CHECK Recommendability: ABSOLUTELY The heroine was very real and relatable. Almost all of us would do and have done what we had to do to survive. I appreciated how the author cleaned up the loose ends of her ex and her father. The emotion was easy to feel as my heart pumped extra beats during the times of intense conflict and my eyes teared during the times when the heroine felt that the fight had left her. I laughed when she did what I would have done in singing while my enemy was getting his "rocks" off. All in all, the person who buys this book (and I hope there will be many) will not be sorry! It was a great read which I finished in 3 hours-I was sorry to see it end. But I have hope because the next will be out very soon!

I got a copy from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. So I finished another book which everybody seemed to love except me. Again. I tried to give this book a higher rate or something but I’m not the kind of person who blows sunshine so here I am, with an honest review, reaction and all. I found Indigo seriously annoying. Most of my facepalms while reading this book were because of her.  1.She and her best friend were captured and the first thing she described her captor was that he was breathtaking. She was faced with a life or death situation and the first thing she noticed about her abductor was his handsomeness.  2.She tripped a lot. I swear. And guess who always caught her? *drum roll* It’s Hendrix! Perhaps it was the ocean all around causing more gravity on her or some dark force constantly pushed her or something but she fell a lot it was ridiculous. 3.At some point she changed. Perhaps it was caused by mood swings because of the trauma she experienced but she sounded really different when she was rescued from Hendrix. She sounded like she was brainwashed. We also had Hendrix who played the usual hot and cold scheme most captors do. Anyway he was like a fallen hero or something but I didn’t really have any problems with him except the fact that he actually considered selling Indigo as a sex slave. Knowing Hendrix as I read the story, I didn’t know he had it in him to do that. He was also somewhat romantic when he finally got together with Indigo. The pace of the book in the last fifty pages got fast. Too fast. Hendrix’s past was revealed too quickly when I expected at least a little suspense on that. A lot of things happened on the last few chapters to the point that it looked like they were cramped or something. But I like the concept. It was a breath of fresh air from most of the books I read.

I admit the storyline was very intriguing for me and I wanted to explorer this modern day pirate idea. The plot was excellent and story was exciting and action packed. My only issues is that Indi is trying to get out of an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend only to be in what seems like a number of them. It seems people just keep slapping her around, but maybe that is what she expects after her last relationship. That said, however the story keep me wanting to learn more about these characters and what was going to happen next. I enjoyed it.

So, this was my attempt at trying to not read an MC book. I have been seeing Bella's books for awhile now, I have followed her even before her first book came out. I haven't read them yet because I always fear with stuff really popular, I'll be disappointed. So, I waited. I was really in the mood for, what I like to call, 'the bad boy we shouldn't date and would normally be put into therapy for actually dating.' So, I remembered, PIRATES! I dove in with no expectations, and a hunger for a good capture dark erotica story. Well, I got one. Let me just say that not only does Bella do a fantastic job at redeeming her anti-heroes, she makes you want to fix them, while at the same time feeling really dirty for enjoying them. Indigo is a character that you not only relate to, but really sympathize with. Yes, there were moments where you feared she was falling into that cycle of abuse. I mean she was falling in love with a man who was pretty much abusing her for the first few days of knowing him. However, it turns out, he was trying to keep her alive and healthy, his men were pushing the abuse. He was trying like the dickens to remain a cold hearted-killer. Well, he was. He wasn't a 'good man' and for all matter of reasons I should have hated this book. But I couldn't. Two people this broken, when thrust upon one another were bound to happen with no one to moderate. The story was very well paced, the sexy moments didn't overpower the whole story, while still giving us gut wrenching moments of emotions that sliced through your heart. I call book like this my dirty little pleasure. Because they should offend the crap out of me, yet somehow Bella made me care. For both Indi and Hendrix. If you like your erotica dark, emotional, and heart-wrenching, then give this book a try, I promise that you will not be disappointed.

I give this 4 Stars!!!! OK so I just finished reading this book last night and I gotta say I kinda can't wait to read the next one. I've read tons of romance novels...I mean T.O.N.S. but this was my first "pirate" themed read and I think I found a new boyfriend! I love reading all the MC type romance novels so this was a great find as it's kinda like the MC's of the Sea. But anyway we all know we're not going to get scooped up by some drop dead gorgeous pirate while floating off into the abyss and then end up head over heals in love but I sure as heck want to make believe it could and IF it could I'd want it to be Hendrick! You can tell the plot from the other reviews so Im not going to repeat it for ya but it kept my attention and had me thinking about it when I couldn't read it because I had to actually go to work and put my Nook down. I though Hendrick to be intriguing and mysterious and the chemistry between him and Indigo was so thick at times you could almost taste it. MMMM Hendrick is just delish. The author builds up the sexual tension between the two so that when they finally connect you just want to explode!!!! I mean that waterfall scene….sluuurp! He’s so tuff and then so sweet. The whole thing with Indigo’s father was a little bit of a stretch for me but hey it’s a fictional book! It was everything I needed it to be, drama, action, suspense and steamy and 409 pages on my Nook!! It was a book I happily referred to my friends to read and I’m marking my calendar for February 15, 2014 when I can find out what happens next on the high seas with Dimitri and Jess story!

Kinda predictable but still fun to read. I think I like these pirates. Kind of fun to change settings from biker clubs to pirate ships. Looking forward to book two.

I have to say, I did pick to read this book because there pirates. How many books have pirates? I sure have not read any books that did. Not to mention a good looking one. This author keeps it interesting. Original is the best word to describe this book. Truly enjoyed it and there was a great twist in the end. Cliffhanger for the next book. Indigo is one step ahead of her psycho ex-boyfriend. Until everything goes wrong and they end up getting picked up by pirates. I am picturing the dirty boat from the Goonies, but apparently it is nice. And there is a Hot Captain, Hendrix. Win! I won't lie, I hated him in the beginning. But it changes in the middle of the book. Like I said, book was really good and I loved her really bad pirate jokes. Hilarious! I rate the book a 4.1. Good Job Bella! I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.  I gave this book 5 pirate stars!!!  This is the story of Indigo and Hendrix.  Indigo is in a very bad relationship with a man that treats her horribly physically and mentally. One night she has enough and after he beats her to the point where she thinks that she is going to die, she takes it in to her own hands and makes him pay for his torture! He ends up going to jail and when he finally gets out, calls her and tells her he is going to seek the revenge of her making him pay.  She runs. She goes on a yacht with her best friend Eric and sails off to safety. Or so she thinks. They are having the time of their life and something happens to the yacht and they have to escape to the life boat, as they are rowing away the yacht explodes, and Indigo and Eric are on their own. They are on the ocean for days before they are found by PIRATES!!  These Pirates are not nice, (when are pirates nice?) and they take her and Eric prisoner and enter tall, dark, and handsome, Capn' Hendrix  He is mean, and he is rough! But Indigo sees something in him that not alot of people can see. There is a tender side to him, and she is just the girl to try and bring it out of him. Hendrix is going to sell Indigo to another pirate for a debt that he owes, but when he starts to have feelings for sweet Indigo will he be able to go through with it? Can Indigo fall for a man that is holding her captive and acts like he doesn't care about her at all?  This book was so much different then I thought it would be, I honestly put off reading this for as long as I could. I just didn't think I would like it. But I was right I didn't like it .. I LOVED IT!! I did not put this book down til it was over! And I wanted more.  Hendrix sets the pages on FIRE! And he becomes someone I didn't see happening, there is a bit of a cliff hanger at the end but it't not a cliff hanger that will leave you dying for the next book because of it. I DO NOT like cliff hangers that leave you craving the next book like you are going to die! This was done very well.  Indigo and I learned that sometimes Pirates are mis-understood and sometimes you can find your HEA where you least expect it. Hendrix makes her feel safe can he make her feel loved too?? Go on Indigo's journey and watch how she falls for a beautiful, gorgeous, amazingly loving pirate. Thank you Bella I am so excited for the next book .. Where we get to see another Pirate fall in love<3

I did not hear of this one until my friend Savanna was talking about it on release day when she finished it in two hours. I had to see what the fuss was all about and I was not disappointed. This is a story that will have you saying WTH!! And you will not be able to put it down once you start reading. Indigo and her friend Eric leave on a boat to another country, Indi to escape the brutal ex-boyfriend and Eric to work. When the boat they are on has trouble and catches fire, Indi and Eric abandon ship and wait to see what happens. The engine blows up and they are left stranded on the ocean, no land in sight and no water or food. Then a ship shows up, a pirate ship and they are rescued. Well not so much. They are prisoners and Indi is to be sold to pay a debt. The captain turns out to be a sexy beast and so irresistible. Will Indi be able to get her and Eric free? Can she seduce Hendrix into setting them free? Will the all survive the storms and other pirates at sea? And who is Chopper? If you like MC stories, then you should read this one, the pirates are the "bikers of the ocean". This is the first for me by Bella Jewel and I LOVED it, can't wait for book 2, Where Darkness Lies, due February 2014.
