A truly brilliant take on mythology. For anyone who has ever been a fan of the religions of yore you'll be enthralled with Applegate's world of aliens and gods. My favorite series when it first came out and still one of my favorite series. The beginning of the first book is a bit difficult to get into, but once you get past that it is simply phenomenal. Applegate creates an entire world within Everworld while drawing enough from our own world so as not to entirely alienate or confuse the audience.

When a group of teens are sucked through a rip in the world and dragged into another, all sorts of shenanigans are likely to follow. Such is the case for David, Christopher, Jalil, April, and Senna who are now thrown into a world that is like ours, but not. There are people and beings and sights here that aren¿t possible, but exist. And every new person, event, and disaster becomes weirder and more disastrous than the last. This twelve volume series, while not always entirely captivating, was entertaining. Each book is written from the viewpoint of a different character and I tended to like some more than others. April and Christopher always left me entertained while David and Jalil mostly just annoyed me. And the one book written from Senna¿s viewpoint was my least favorite. However, these were quick reads and the end result was satisfying without being predictable.

The everworld series is one of my all tme favorites, even beating out Harry Potter. That said, I was disapointed that they did not return home.

"Everworld Entertain the End" was written by K.A. Applegate and published by Scholastic Inc. Let me tell you that it was one of the best Science Fiction books I have ever read! Everworld is a mythical elution of another world. As soon as you enter the first page of the book,it's sort of a giant mess as soon as you enter the first page. The castle is goi ng down and you have no idea what to think. Someone gets murdered, but yet you feel good that that person is dead! In the book the "Everworld" you will be amazed at how interesting it is. It is also an entertaining book as well. You never get bored. You're always wondering what is going to happen next! "Everworld" made me feel like I was one of the characters and I got carried away in the story. I feel like it had me going insane, because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. So ladies and gentlemen, if you like magical mythical lands and fantasy and science all mixed up, then take a peek at "Everworld," it is a great book that's pulls you in!!

Through out the whole series I was hoping that they would stay in everworld. (Willingly of course)If I was in their place I would have stayed in a blink of an eye my heart has always longed for adventure. The personalities of the charactors in the book were so realistic. I hate when series end because thats not the end of their life thats just all that we'll ever know about it.

The headline says it all. Don't get me wrong, most of the book is on par with the rest of the series and manages to tell a fast-paced, interesting story as the characters struggle with the aftermath of what happened to Senna. And then it ends. It doesn't even end on a cliffhanger, it just ends. It's like Applegate got bored with the series and gave up. Heh, you can't even make any inferences as to what MIGHT happen there's so many variables and things left unanswered any guess is pure speculation. So, good book? Yes. Disapointing? Hell yes.

I thought the book was incredible! I thought the whole 12 book series was incredible! I read all the other reviews and laughed! Everyone said that the book never realy had an ending, but they didn't read beyond the text. For example: In Harry Potter books, they don't always come out and tell you the information you need to know. YOU GOTTA MAKE INFRENCES! You can't expect the charachter to jump out of the book and say what happened. I don't know if you noticed, but they did that in every one of the other 11 books from the series. Anyway, I would definately give the book and the series the highest rating.

Wow, I cant beleave how good these book were. I have not read her other ones befor like Animorphs, and Remnants, but i was totally blown away. When I got one book i had to get all the others. Its like once you start you just cant stop. But i do wish that she will come out with a good ending(mabey like a information book). But ya I total loved this book and the "magic" is totally wicked.

How are you going to end a book to that specific series like that?! That's ridiculous! I feel K.A. Applegate needs to write at least one more book. You know, to tie up all the loose ends. I want to know how everthing ends in Everworld. I say us Everworld fans start sending TONS of emails to K.A. Applegate begging her to write just one more ending. Like an epiloge. Maybe then we will get all of our unanswered questions answered.

OKAY THIS SERIES WAS SPECTACULAR. THE BOOK STUNK. I THINK WITH K.A.'S ABILITY SHE COULD HAVE DONE SO MUCH BETTER OR CAN MAKE ANOTHER BOOK TO END THE SERIES. THE PLOT WAS GREAT BUT IT DOESN'T FIT WITH THIS SERIES. I HOPE YOU WILL LISTEN TO OUR STATEMENTS AND TRULY THINK ABOUT A NEW ENDING. I GIVE THIS BOOK 4 STARS.

i'm so sad...i just now finished this book, and it was amazing...but to all of you who say it can't possibly be the end...half of my totally agrees (april and chris should have gotten together) but the other half says "it's over." i mean, it would be great if it went on, but it would kind of take the thrill out of the books. like, for example, i was a die hard animorph devotee, and was really bummed when it ended, but let me tell you, i can remeber maybe the first 20 or thirty books perfectly, but when it got up into the fifties, they all kind of melded together for me, which is very depressing. so i'm a little glad she ended it much like animporhs, with enough to keep you interested and wondering. if everything was tied neatly together in the end, it would not be the same. and besides, it would kill the "magic" so to speak...lol. so, in conclusion, i luved this series with all my heart. i applaud the author, and give this book 5 stars. thanks for reading my review, but don't take my word for it...go read the book.

This is not an end. A great addition to the series but no, ABSOULUETLY not an end. Do they go back? Do they beat Ka Anor with the help of Thor, Baldwin, and Loki? There are also a lot of loose ends she left un tied. If K.A. Applegate dosen't continue the series I swear I'm gonna start a riot in her neighborhood.

this was an awsome book in the series and it was written really well and was probaly my favorite in the whole series. here's the downer... there are still to many plots left to go. what happens to the sennites? ka anor? yay happy travelers have help, BIG help, but still i want to hear about the last battle between the gods and ka anor, not to mention the four good guys. does chris ever get with april, i only say this because they would make such a cute couple, will david go back and rule atlantis? probaly but id like some assurance. david and jalils futures are pretty definite but what about april and chris? what do they have that will get them a high station in everworld, hunh? this note is mostly for the author. just one more book okay end it with a huge bang of a battle. applegate is so good at suspence i thought it was going to be some apocolypese type of ending.neways it was good but readers need closure otherwise its just another the lady or the tiger and we all know that that was the most frustrating short story ever.

I loved this seris from the begining and this was really a great book. But it didn't seem like the end and I want to know what else happens. One question that is left unanswered: Will the Everworld gods defeat KA Anor? I would really like to know, but the last book doesn't tell the ending. THe adventure in everworld isn't over yet but the seris ended, this doesn't make any sense. I really hope K.A.Applegate continues this series until the end!

First off I've really enjoyed this series and I even enjoyed this book. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars was because for an end to the series there was no end. Sure they are no longer have a life in the old world but all that does is make an entire new chapter to the series. I really hope that later on they pick the series back up.

As always, K.A. is up to her usual standard of vivid prose and beautifully descriptive word choice. This author is very unique in her style of plot development, which is why I truly admire her work. There are always intriguing questions and ideas about life and morality. However, Applegate does not merely proclaim great epiphanies of what is important, of what is right and wrong- she inspires the readers to make their own decisions and come to their own conclusions. As children we are taught about the world; but we must learn to discover it for ourselves. Although Everworld's finale does not contain closure, and is not 'happily ever after', it made me think. I am sure Applegate would invite you to dislike this book as much as you'd like, and vent your opinions and frustrations. But her books help the reader in growing as a person, which I'm sure is all she ever wanted to achieve. I'm not promising the greatest book of all time. What I am promising is a fitting end to a great series, with both sorrow and contentment, and the essence of life- hope. I strongly recommend that all Everworld fans not miss out on this book. As for the issue of whether the series will be renewed- it's a distinct possibility. If Scholastic thinks it will sell better some time in the future, the series shall continue.
